WE ARE ALWAYS ON THE HUNT FOR CLEAN ORIGINAL CLASSICS BUT ESPECIALLY INTERNATIONALS CHEVY'S AND CLASSIC OLD FORDS!! THIS TRUCK CAME WITH A LOT OF OPTIONS FOR 83 WITH THE XLT PKG, DELUXE EXTERIOR & INTERIOR TRIM, POWER STEERING, 2.3 INLINE 4-CYLINDER, AUTOMATIC, POWER BRAKES, UPGRADED CLOTH AND VINYL SEAT, VINYLCOVERED DOOR PANELS AND THE DELUXE LOW ROCKER PANEL TRIM THAT HAS THAT 69 MACH 1 LOOK AND WAS ONLY AVAILABLE THE FIRST COUPLE YEARS. OUR ORIGINAL INTENTIONS WHEN WE SAW THIS TRUCK AND SAW THE IMPRESSIVE ORIGINAL CONDITION OF THE BODY AND THAT KILLER LOOKING BLACK INTERIOR WAS TO LOWER IT DOWN SLIGHTLY, THROW ON SOME STAGGERED 18” US MAG U109 WHEELS AND SHOVE A STOUT SMALL BLOCK BETWEEN THE FENDERS BACKED BY A NICE OVERDRIVE TRANS TO MAKE JUST A PERFECT AND ONE OF A KIND HOT ROD SHOP TRUCK TO SELL. PLANS HAVE CHANGED A LITTLE AND WE ARE LOOKING AT MOVING LOCATIONS MID NEXT YEAR AND WOULD LIKE TO THIN THE MOVING BURDEN A LITTLE AND LOOKING RE-HOME SOME OF THE PROJECTS THAT WE WON’T GET TO BY MOVE TIME. HERE IN WASHINGTON STATE WE HAVE MILD WINTERS IN THIS AREA AND THE STATE DOES NOT USE SALT ON WINTER ROADS LEAVING US WITH SOLID PRESERVED CLASSICS LIKE THIS 83. PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS A 5 DIGIT ODOMETERSHOWING JUST OVER 67K MILES, BUT WE HAVE RECORDS AND WE BELIEVE IT IS MORE ALONG 167K, BUT USE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT. BODY-THE BODYON THIS TRUCK IS TRULY WHATDREW ME IN TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS SWEET LITTLE RANGER AND TO ME IS THE MOST UNIQUE PART OF THIS TRUCK THAT SETS IT APART FROM ANY OTHER SQUARE BODY RANGER I HAVE COME ACROSS. THE SLIGHT PATINA AND WEAR GIVES THIS TRUCK ITS PERSONALITY AND SHOWS THE HISTORY AND THE OBVIOUS LOVE THIS TRUCK HAS ALWAYS SEEN. THE FACTORY ORIGINAL 1983 DESERT TAN PAINT STILL HAS A NICE SINGLE STAGE GLOSS SHINE WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF WORN PAINT FOR THAT SLIGHT SURFACE RUST LOOK. WITH JUST TWO OWNERS ALL OF IT’S LIFE IT HAS EXCELLENT PRESERVED CONDITION, NO ACCIDENT HISTORY, ALWAYS BEEN A NW TRUCK, NO PAINT WORK AND NO BOLTS ON ANY PANEL HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY A WRENCH. THIS KILLER AGED AND EARNED PATINA HAS ALL THE RIGHT LOOK AND AGE MOST OF US ARE LOOKING FOR ON A SURVIVOR TRUCK. YOU CAN TELL BY ONE GLANCE HOW SOLID AND HONEST THIS TRUCK IS BY THE PICS ON THE TOP OF THE ROCKERS, BOTTOM OF DOORS, BODY MOUNTS, UNDERSIDE OF ROCKERS, CAB CORNERS, BED FLOORS, REAR BED CORNERS, INNER WHEEL WELLS AND ALL THE OTHER HIGH RUST AREAS. THE ONLY ARE OF TRUE CANCER IS THE SMALL AREA AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TAILGATE. EVEN THE PAINT ALONG THE DOOR JAMBS, FIREWALL AND BETWEEN THE CAB AND BED ARE NICE SHINY TAN PAINT.

THIS CLASSIC IS SOLID AND STRAIGHT, BUT OBVIOUSLYWILL SHOW AGE WITH 36 YEARS UNDER IT’S BELT, BUT FAR LESS THEN EXPECTED. IT HAS PAINT WEAR AND SMALL CHIPS AND LITTLE SURFACE SCRATCHES FOUND AROUND EACHPANEL WITH A COUPLE SMALL OLD TOUCHED UP ARES AND SMALL DOOR DINGS POINTED OUT IN THE PICS AND VIDEO. THE CHROME ON THE GRILLE AND FRONT BUMPER HAS SOME AGING ALONG WITH THE TAIL LIGHTS ($20 FOR TWO), THE OUTER DOOR SWEEPS ARE DRY AND CRACKED ($35 TO THE DOOR AND EASY TO INSTALL) THE DRIVER WING WINDOW HAS A CUT PIECE OF PLEXI GLASS INSTEAD OF THE ORIGINAL ( USUALLY TREND @ UNDER $20 ON EBAY). THIS TRUCK WILL HAVE TWO NEW HEADLIGHTS INSTALLED BEFORE IT IS SOLD. THIS TRUCK HAD A CANOPY ON IT MOST OF IT’S LIFE WHICH HAS LEFT A VERY NICE BED WITH MINIMAL WEAR IN THE CARGO AREA AND NO LARGE SIDE LOADING DAMAGE TO THE BEDSIDES, BUT IT DID WEAR THE PAINT ON THE BACK OF THE CAB AND TOP OF TAILGATE. THIS IS A ORIGINAL TRUCK, SO IT WILL HAVE SOME SURFACE RUST IN AREAS, LITTLE ENTRY AND ROAD USE CHIPS AND SCRATCHES, BUT IS A VERY SOLID TRUCK. I HAVE MANY CLOSE-UP PICS OF THE TRIM AND PAINT THAT CAN ALSO BE SEEN IN THE VIDEO ALONG WITH ANY WEARIN THE PAINT, BUT IF MORE ARE NEEDED LET ME KNOW. THIS HAS BEEN A WELL LOVED AND CARED FOR CLASSIC THAT IS VERY HARD TO FIND NOT ONLY IN UN-MOLESTED ORIGINAL CONDITION, BUT VERY HARD TO FIND ONE OF THIS CALIBER IN THIS BEAUTIFUL AND SOLID CONDITION LIKE THIS TAN BEAUTY :)

INTERIOR- AS MENTIONED ABOVE THE OUTSIDE LOOK IS IT WHAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION AND PULLED ME IN TO TAKE A FURTHER LOOK, BUT THE INTERIOR IS WHAT SOLD ME. THIS TRUCK HAS A KILLER LOOKING BLACK INTERIOR THAT HAS MORE OF 60-70’S MUSCLE CAR VIBE WITH THE CENTER CUTOUT FABRIC. THE INSIDE OF THIS TRUCK SURPRISINGLY BEATS THE EXTERIOR IN CONDITION, IS ALL ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT SHAPE! THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN A NONSMOKER ALL ITS LIFE AND IS FREE FROM ANY SMELLS OR ODORS. THE DASH IS IN AMAZING SHAPE WITH A PERFECT DASH PAD WITH NO CRACKS, CRYSTAL CLEAR PROPER WORKING GAUGES, NICE DEEP WOOD ACCENT TRIM AND ALL PLASTIC TRIM HAVE NO CHIPS OR. ALL INTERIOR LIGHTS WORK ALONG WITH THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER FOR YOU ELECTRONIC CHARGE UP NEEDS. THE DOOR WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY, DOORS LOCK FROM INSIDE AND OUT PROPERLY. THE ORIGINAL BLACK VINYL AND CLOTH SEAT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH THE ONLY IMPERFECTIONS IS A LITTLE WEAR ON THE DRIVER SIDEOUTER EDGE. THE ORIGINAL CARPET IS IN NICE SHAPE, THAT STILL IS A NICE DEEP BLACK WITH THAT NICE FLUFFY FEEL, NO HOLES, WORN FLAT AREAS AND VERY LITTLE FADING. BOTH DOOR PANELS ARE ORIGINAL, NEVER BEEN OFF AND IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS, HOLES OR WATER DAMAGE AND ARE STILL TIGHT TO THE DOOR. BOTH OF THE VISORS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND STAY PUT WHEN YOU ADJUST THEM, BUT HEADLINER HAS STARTED TO SAG OVER THE YEARS. THE DOOR HINGES AND TIGHT AND CLEAN AND BOTH THE DOORS POP RIGHT OPEN WITH EASEAND SHUT LIKE NEW WITH ONE SOLID SOUND AND NOSAGGING. THE HEATER HEATS UP THE CAB AFTER WARMED UP, BUT MAY NEED A BLOWER MOTOR AS IT SEEMS LIKE IT TRICKLES OUT TO EVENTUALLY WARM UP THE CAB. ORIGINAL STEREO WORKS PROPERLY AND THE STEERING WHEEL IS IN NICE SHAPE WITH NO STEERING COLUMN ISSUES. TRULY A TIME CAPSULE INTERIOR THAT IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR A 36 YEAR OLD TRUCK AND IS VERY COMFORTABLE, CLEAN AND SOLID RIDE.

MECHANICAL-AS MENTIONED ABOVE THIS TRUCK WAS BOUGHT WITH THE INTENTION TO PULL THE MOTOR AND TRANS, SO THE CONDITION WASN’T A CONCERN AT THAT TIME, WE WERE JUST GLAD IT FIRED UP AND MOVED DOWN THE ROAD AS ANY PROJECT RIG IS ALWAYS NICER WHEN IT MOVES AROUND THE SHOP ON IT’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’S A ORIGINAL TRUCK SO HAS SOME DIRT AND GREASE HERE AND THERE, BUT IS NOT A MAJOR LEAKER.

IT IS HARD TO FIND A THREE DECADE PLUS YEAR OLD ORIGINAL TRUCK WITH THIS NICE OF A SOLID ORIGINAL. IT IS ONE THING TO HAVE AGE AND PATINA, BUT TO HAVE THE APPEALING LOOKING PATINA IN ALL THE RIGHT SPOTS LIKE THIS TRUCK IS HARD TO FIND AND MAKES IT A UNIQUE AND FUN LITTLE CLASSIC TRUCK.

The older the car, the harder it is to define the condition of the vehicle.Most of our vehicles are specialty vehicles or are 15+ years old, and usually trucks. Because of this, it is very difficult to describe each vehicle to everyone’s satisfaction. Based on the bidder'spersonal experience, some bidders will be overly pleased with my description and pictures, and others may feel that I fell short.
