1966 Ford F-250 RANGER F-250 Additional Info:
I have been building this body style Ford Truck since the late 1980s, I have been recognized by Custom Classic Trucks magazine in issue November of 2009 titled " Slick crazy in California". I am a passionate builder from mild, to wild, to 100% original as a hobby. My most recent build of one of the first "Ranger", never made it to advertising, as it was bought in a parking lot while I was gassing it up. I can provide this reference with deposit of sale
This vehicle is an EXTREMELY RARE SPECIAL ORDER F-250 CAMPER SPECIAL RANGER PACKAGE WITH 4 BARREL OPTION AS WELL.
It was born in San Jose California and its second owner since 1992 lived at the beach in California hence the rotted roof.
The plan was to restore this one to original with ps pb ac and stereo system like I build them for all my clients.
This sale is to buy the truck as it is, original engin runs, no smoke, plenty of compression, but the cam flattened out on one cylinder. The Original FMX transmission shifts beautifully with no slipping. The factory 4 barrel works nice and smooth once you get past the flat cam idle. She stops like an old F-250 with manual brakes.
This is an excellent opportunity to own a super rare truck. Read the vin tag and do your homework.
The second owner put in a bench seat to be closer to his lady, he gave me the black buckets with it, I also have the special order center console, the cover hinge and latch is missing
Fuel cell is still clean with no turpentine, I drove it 70 miles from the owners home with no issues at all.
If you know what you're looking at you will agree this truck is super rare, and an on site inspection will not disappoint.
I can help you out like I do many folks, or you can go after it yourself.
The last truck I built, the "Ranger" I added power disc brakes, power steering, and " Custom Auto Air" heating and air conditioning, as well as a period correct high output stereo system, that had all the Blue Tooth, I pod, etc. etc. latest technology.
There are tons of options on how to build this one out, only limited by your imagination. With new pick-ups being upwards of $70,000.00 you can't go wrong investing in this Super rare CAMPER SPECIAL RANGER PACKAGE F-250 classic and building in all the creature comforts and drive ability of a new truck.
Don't miss this opportunity to own a classic that will only gain value over time.
I have listed the vehicle locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
