1973 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Camper Special. 100% ORIGINAL PAINT, ZERO RUST!
This truck is equipped with Ranger XLT Trim, Camper Special Equipment, 390 2bbl engine, C-6 automatic transmission, Dana 60 rear axle (3.54 open), power steering, power brakes, front disk brakes, camper mirrors, power steering cooler, front and rear sway bars, dual tanks, sliding rear window, tinted windows, 2-tone paint, locking storage box, AM radio, cargo light, and gauges. I’m sure there are a couple options I’m missing, but this truck was WELL OPTIONED from the factory!
I bought this truck from the family of the original owner. Included in the sale are the original warranty card, owners manual and associated paperwork.
It was bought new in Southern Oregon and remained here all it's life, except for a couple years when the owners moved to Missouri. They lived there for a bit and then moved back. In fact, they drove the truck back from Missouri (over 1900 miles) 4 years ago with NO PROBLEMS!
The truck runs strong! The original 390 was removed by the owners son before their move back to Oregon (4 years ago) and rebuilt. (See photos). The son is an ASE certified mechanic. The cam was upgraded to a “RV” cam and a high volume oil pump installed. Otherwise the rebuild was fairly stock. It has headers and dual exhaust. The truck runs strong and sounds great! All the lights work, speedometer works, turn signals, cargo light all work!
When the engine was rebuilt, the following components were also replaced; alternator, starter, fuel pump, shocks, brakes, master cylinder, and torsion bushings. New tires were also installed on 16” steel wheels (not 16.5”!). The tires are less than 4 years old and have less that 6000 miles on them! This is verified by their receipt!
As previously stated, the paint is 100% original. It shines nicely. There are several areas where the yellow paint is thin; doors, cowl, bed. The bed also has several scratches on the top of the bed rails which is typicalfrom things being loaded and unloadedinto the bed.Being 45 years old, it still looks great! I would say it is a 10 footer, but I’m much more critical than most! The front bumper is wavy on the driver side. There is a small rock chip on the drivers side, well below your sight line.
The original seat is worn beneath the cover. The carpet is original and worn on the drivers side. The dash in uncut and the original radio is intact. An aftermarket AM/FM/CD player was installed under the dash. The original padded dash is perfect! The headliner fabric is missing. The windows roll up and down properly. The doors open and close properly and are solid.
The original owner painted the bed with “Hurculiner” a few years back. It is not covering any cancerous rust, they did it to cover surface rust and give it a fresh look because the original paint had worn and was scratched.
The frame, floor pans, cab mounts, bed floor are solid; NO RUST! The truck was undercoated when new and much of that undercoating is still intact. For those of you who don’t know; Southern Oregon gets far less rain than the rest of the state and they do not use salt on the roads in winter; hence NO RUST!
This truck is priced right, for its condition and given all its upgrades (rebuilt engine, suspension components, brakes etc). This truck has an awesome look, is a strong runner and is reliable. That being said, it is 45 years old! There is no warranties on this truck. It is a mechanical device; things wear out and will need to be addressed as time goes on. If you want a vehicle with a warranty that you will never need to repair, it is probably better for you to lease new cars! LOL
In all seriousness, these trucks are appreciating in value. This is a truck you can buy, drive, enjoy and be proud of all while it is appreciating in value. This truck will be worth more next year than it is now!
You are welcome to come look at this truck. I live in Grants Pass, Oregon (97526). The nearest airport is Medford (MFR). A $500 paypal deposit is required within 48 hours if you buy this truck. If the deposit is not made, you lose the opportunity to purchase the truck. The remainder can be paid as cash (in person) or wire transfer. Any fees for wire transfer must be paid by the buyer! Transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I can store the truck for 30 days (inside) with no problems. You can always fly into Medford and drive this truck home!
I will ship this truck nationally and internationally! Foreign buyers are welcomed and encouraged! I have been an Ebay member for over 15 years. I have 100% positive feedback and I frequently sell items that buyers are always pleased with! I accurately describe my items, pointing out both the positive AND negative! I provide photos that accurately show the condition of my items! When you buy from me there are NO SUPRISES. This sale will be no different!
For international customers; all terms are USD. The nearest shipping port to me is Richmond / Freemont, California.The two shippersoperating in this area are;
West Coast Shipping
https://www.wcshipping.com/
or CFR Rinkens
https://www.cfrrinkens.com/
You can contact them for a price to ship from the US to your country. They will ensure the vehicle clears US customs and is loaded into a container here in the US. They typically charge you for the transportation once it arrives at your port. You will also be responsible for import duties. West Coast or CFR Rinkens can also pick up the truck from my home. If you like, I can offer insured and certified transport to West Coast or CFR Rinkens in Richmond / Oakland California for $450 additional. West coast or CFR Rinkens will probably quote a price of $600+ to ship from my house to the port. I can do it (using their same shippers) and save you money, but the decision is yours to make!
Payment is due within 10 days of purchase. This gives domestic buyers plenty of time to get to the bank and make things happen. International buyers will need to follow through quickly, as it has taken me 7 business days to receive international wires in the past. Either way, the truck will not leave here until it is paid in full. As I previously stated, you can show up with cash and that is no problem!
Here is a YouTube video of the truck as it is idling. It shows a full walk around of the truck. Turn your volume up, it idles and sounds great!
