1983 Studebaker Avanti Additional Info:

For sale is a very good condition 1983 Avanti, Converted from computer to carb operation. Brand new crate motor with less then 500 miles on it, new aluminum intake manifold with brand new Rochester 4 barrel carb, new dual exhaust system with Turbo mufflers ( not loud has low rumbling sound) new "Rams Horn" exhaust manifolds with OEM down pipes, new fuel pump and lines, new starter motor, reconditioned 700R4 transmission with new torque converter, flexplat, seals, cooler lines etc, rebuilt front end with all new OEM parts, brand new CVR serpentine drive with new water pum, ps pump, new ps lines, new Power Master 100 amp alternator, new AGM battery, new HD cooling fan with 2-speed soft start controller, even with our high 90's temps the engine never overheats, new accell distributor and plug wires, new OEM 3 core radiator and hoses, brand new Turner disc brake conversion kit installed with rebuilt PB booster. 4 new WW tires with OEM wire wheel caps. No drips or leaks.

Only OEM parts were used on the car. All the OEM parts came from Dan Booth ( Nostalgic Motors ) who has a warehouse full of OEM parts, John Meyers, and Phil Harris Indicated mileage is 25317 but I believe it flipped over.

Comes with the factory build sheet. All leather interior, Riccarro seats ( wear on lower drivers side), Nardi steering wheel, Italian Ash wood inlays, new CAS radio with Sirius radio, dash has no cracks has a dash pad installed to protect it, new drivers side PW motor, OEM fog lights. Heater/defroster work very well.

The car was re-painted some time in the past, the car has never been in an accident the body is crack and defect free, considering the age of the the car the paint is in very good condition with no cracks or spidering not "show" but above average driver quality, all the glass is tinted and in good condition, headliner is near new condition, everything works except the rear window defroster, the fuel gauge reads 2/3 when full but otherwise is working OK, all the other instruments work as they should., the PO also converted the back-up lights to LED brake lights which are much brighter and safer then the very dim OEM lights. The car had A/C but the engine compartment parts were removed when the crate engine was installed, my plans were to upgrade to a Sanyo conversion.. CVR sells the brackets and Classic or Vintage Air sell the install kit if you want A/C. I just drive it "as-is".
The "hog troughs" were cut out, the PO didnt replace the troughs but installed a steel box frame instead, I lowered the asking price accordingly taking into account that a new owner might want to install them.
The front bumper has an approx 2" round corner rusty area on the right side that the PO covered with chrome pain, the rest of the trim is in good condition with no additional rusty areas.

The car runs and drives excellent, I wouldn't hesitate to drive coast to coast its that solid.Fly in, drive it home. I have priced the car for what I have in it, any reasonable offer will be considered, please tire kickers or low-ballers
