1963 Studebaker Avanti R2 Additional Info:
We have an R2 Avanti project for sale. Has the numbers matching short block, transmission. Comes with a complete blower set up out of a running Avanti. We have a complete set of OE glass for it, a nice OE dashboard, complete sets of OE gauges minus speedo, all the spark plug shielding, power steering set up, brakes, etc. The car is very complete minus cylinder heads. The interior is all there, rough because it sat outside for years. The car was last registered in 1974, we have a title from 1972 from a previous owner than matches the license plate still on the car. We have a new issued clean NM title for the car. Front fender was damaged years ago, we have a patch to repair it. Hog troughs and frame are very rust free.
A member of the Studebaker club took me to see this car in 1981. I lost track of it until a couple of years ago. I met the owner who bought it used in 1966. He was drafted, I have a picture of him with the car in his fatigues. It was sold new at Melloy Studebaker here in Albuquerque. It has never left the city. I have the production orders from South Bend.
Please ask all questions before bidding. More pictures can be provided upon request. No refunds, returns, or exchanges. Sold AS IS with no warranties expressed or implied. It is also listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please remember, if you bid on the Avanti, you are entering a BINDING contract to buy it if you win the auction. Thanks for looking and good luck. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction close. Buyer is responsible for shipping, we will help load the vehicle when the transport is arranged, will need a carrier who can handle the extra parts. Drive train, glass, trim, etc will take up a lot of extra space.
