For Sale:1960 Studebaker Regal Lark 2-door Hardtop, V-8/Automatic. The following recent work has been performed. It has a rebuilt 1963 full flow 289 cubic inch engine, bored .040 oversize with a reground crank turned .020 under. It has a R-1 camshaft with thin head gaskets and new two inch duel exhaust. The brake have been reconditioned with new master cylinders, wheel cylinders, and brake shoes. It has DOT 5 brake fluid. This car is equipped with a 3.73 Dana 44 rear end with flanged axles. It has new front springs and new front and rear shocks. The interior is very nice, the headliner and sun visors are in good condition. The black carpet is new, and a new 1964 Daytona seat covering, padded dash, and door panel kit has been installed. The rubber, while not new is in good condition (see photo 6 for typical condition of all four tires).
The actual number of miles on this car is unknow as the speedometer did not work and was replaced with a used unit. However, we do know that the car came out of Texas about ten years ago. It was repainted during a restoration that was performed in Texas, but was and is not the best paint job with some over spray, some runs. The car is straight and has no major dents or flaws. It does have some scratches and paint chipping, the worst of which is on top of the drivers side front fender (see photo number 12). The trim and chrome is above average (drivers quality) with no rust or major flaws. The floor pans in the car were repaired as part of the recent renovations.
Warning:There is one area of concern I seen on the car when I closely examined the car yesterday. Near the front of the passenger side rocker panel and before the front fender there is a spot roughly four inches in diameter where the paint is bubbling. That's most likely a problem which will need to be dealt with.
