Greetings from The Land of Enchantment prospective buyers!
Dad died and left us kids quite a few vehicles. Up for your consideration is this crazy fast (fastest production vehicle in 1963, clocked at ~170 mph at the Bonneville salt flats?) supercharged R2 Studebaker Avanti coupe repainted in a non-canon (butt attractive IMO) burgundy color.
It runs strong and is easily the fastest vehicle I have ever driven (in my brief experience driving it). The R2 is basically a supercar. Itsounds beautiful and purrrrrs like a panther.
The interior is mostly complete but in a state of ongoing restoration.
The dash is non-original (Dolphin gauges), and the upholstery is likewise finished in a non-original cloth (not the original leather as in the R1 that can be glimpsed in two of the pictures). I intend on updating the listing with better photos prior to the close of the auction, but we'll see what happens...
Perhaps not the most important detail, but the rear Sony 'Xplod" speakers look pretty tacky to me. I have an uninstalled reproduction Avanti radio which will be included. Also included is the OEM steering wheel center cap, as well as the glove compartment vanity mirror unit. Various other interior parts will be included. I also have the original build sheet.
Earlier this week I was finally able to shoot video of it running and driving and will be providing links to these in a couple of days
True mileage unknown. I would like to contact the prior owner, but no promises on this count. When I am able, I will be taking photos of the undercarriage --- when I am able to find someone with a lift.
Body is straight and looks pretty darn good. Awesome vintage Kelsey rims. Dunlop G/T tires.
Send your questions, I will aim to answer them within 24 hours, and will be updating this listing with some of those queries and my responses.

A FEW NOTES REGARDING THE MARCH LISTING OF THIS VEHICLE, WHICH I VOLUNATARILY REMOVED AFTER A FEW DAYS:
First,
I was unaware that this vehicle was featured on Barn Finds (thanks Barn Finds!!!) until after I ended the listing (I would likely not have done that had I known).
Second,
This listing generated the most intense response of any listing I have ever posted on eBay (I have been selling on eBay off and on since 1998 -- this is like my third or fourth account); To Wit: This R2 accumulated over 2,000 views and nearly 200 watchers at the time of the listing's demise after just ~3 days! (thanks again Barn Finds!!!)
Third,
This Avanti is located in TRUTH OR CONSEQUNCES, New Mexico and any seriously interested party is welcome to come down (or up) and 'sheck it out', and possibly even drive it --- but absolutely no promises on this count, at the very least I'd give you a spin.'
Fourth,
The Barn Finds link:

I have just sent a message to Barn Finds and who knows, maybe it will be re-featured?
