1987 Porsche 928 Additional Info:
The time has come for me to sell the car of my childhood dreams, the legendary 1987 Porsche 928S4. Movies like Risky Business, Scarface, and Weird Science only served to glamorize its mystique and I told myself that when I could afford one I'd make it my daily driver. I found the best example I could find and spent time and money restoring and improving while continuing to enjoy its vault-like supercar ride. All repairs and mantanance have been performed at Texas Porsche Workshop,tpwsinc.com, by the owner Matt, who not just repairs 928s, he owns 3 of them! Within the past year, I spent $6,700 after telling Matt to fix all things necessary to make the car a reliable, enjoyable driver. Matt also listed issues that could wait (i.e. oil cooler and transmission cooler hoses) and most mechanical and interior repair items are things that can easily be addressed by anyone who's handy with a screwdriver or wrench. Matt told me that the timing belt looks brand new (and the previous owner told me it had been replaced 2 years ago), so that shouldn't be something the new owner has to worry about for several thousand miles or years. TPWS can answer any specific mechanical questions you might have: (512) 836-5949. You are also welcome to see and test-drive the car. There are minor things that could use attention: The dash is cracked (extremely common issue) and the pillar and passenger door material need a re-application of adhesive in 2 very small areas. The AC unit is working but isn't blowing cold. The sunroof motor is working but the sunroof mechanism needs adjusting. The radio is non-op but came that way; I prefer to listen to the 5-liter engine sing! All in all, the car looks and drives extremely well considering its age.
I am not much of a photographer, so I've added 2 videos, one showing how nice this car looks from all 360 degrees, and the other is a cold start showing that all warning lights extinguish upon start-up:

Want to know more about the 928? See, Hagerty's April, 2020 article, "The 1978-95 Porsche 928 is no longer a black sheep:"

Hagerty lists this car at significantly higher than what I've decided will be the opening bid amount:
https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1987-Porsche-928-S4
and I'm doing so in order to maximize the amount of excitement with this auction. To that end, I'm making this a NO RESERVE auction! Highest bidder will win! But wait! There's more! Because this car is such a great driver and I love to drive it, I'll offer FREE DELIVERY ANYWHERE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS! Also, I'm including a complete 8-volume set of the Porsche 928 Service Manuals (a $1,200 value based on eBay listings, pictured)!
This is an AS-IS sale with no warranties expressed or implied, and the winning bid will be a contract to purchase. $1,000 deposit is non-refundable. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid.
