Hi Pontiac lover, First off I would like to say that I am NOT a dealer, this is my personal Trans Am and it is titled and insured in my name. I found this T/A by an absolute fluke 10 min from my home, I was driving my cut and polish guy home from doing the paint on my 1969 Lemans and the T/A was in the old guys driveway so the fence guys could go through his garage to the back yard to fix his fence, that was 3 years ago . At that time he said it was never for sale......Long story short I became very close to him and even took him for rides in some of my Pontiacs .He liked my original owner Orbit Orang Judge the best. He Got very ill and he called me one night and told me he wanted ne to have the T/A Bit of car history. The T/A was bought new at Roy Foss Pontiac in Thornhill Ontario.....Close too Toronto. Over the years the T/A went back and fourth between family and friends and even his mon who was the last one because of the super high insurance and when she died it went back to his name then me. In 1982 the body showed some rust and all the T/A stickers where just a white outline, also a VW bug ran into the right side front fender ( you will notice in some pics the right front fender is not a 71 fender). At this time it was time for bodywork and paint .It was not done the greates, back then there no restoring these cars, It was done to keep the cars on the road. Finally in 1987 the T/A was parked for the last tim, faded pain, rust coming through agai, rust under the car and absolutely the worst gas mileage. So he got a 1987 Buick Skyhawk new ......WOW. T/A condition bod, as you can se the body is rust, doors fenders and quarters need fixing as well as the hood. The roof as well as the upper and lower cowl and front and back window channels look great . Under the car is the worst like most of these F bodie, the T/A will for sure need rear frame rail, trunk pan and rear floors. The front floors and where the front frame attaches look good . The back tail pane, back bumper and the front nose/bumper look fantasti, car was never hit in the front or back. Interio, not much to say here, in fantastic conditio, unbelievabl, all original and all there even all the seatbelts and the dash and headliner looks like new carpet looks great too. Absolutely NO rodents where ever in this T/A, NO poo, pe, nests and not a single cut or chewed wire. Everything electrical even the car door buzzer works. Drivetrain . All number matchin, engine, trans, rear dif, car, distributer. Every thing is there and origina, even all the A/C stuff and the shaker stuff too. The only thing not original are the starter, alternator and upper alternator bracke, he changed that to make the 80 amp alternator adjustable for new belts whatever that means .The 80 amp idler pulley is still on the car and works perfect.. Car came new with 80 amp alternator because the car has A/C rear defroster and power windows and when I got the car the alternator was so bad it could not be saved . I purchased a new 80 amp alternato, and all engine ignition parts and hi zink oil for a safe engine start . Engine was never sized and I used a borescope and did not see any rust in cylinders . I removed the valve covers and the heads had no sludge at all and where nice and oil soaked no stuck valves. Oil that was in the car was black and absolutely no water or coolant in it. I was super careful when I started the car for the first time since 198, it took me 2 weeks of oiling the cylinders and the cam for me too feel safe to start the engine . I took the distributer out and primed the engine till I saw oil dripping from all rockers . The engine started up it did not run the greatest but it ran and idled on its own, loud because the exhaust gaskets are probably long gone. I started the engine about 6 times and each time it was better and bette, takes a long time to pump up the lifters after so long of no movement . The car drove around the car club and goes in revers, The turbo 400 is bulletproof. I got this car off the old guy because the 71 T/A is so hard to find and to find one so complete and running is next to impossible. I'm 59 years old and I have been into Pontiacs since I was 9 years old....thanks dad. I am really only into 1969 to 1971 Judge, I'm not much of a Trans Am guy . I have seen it all in this car hobb, clone, rebody, re-stamp engine, cowl and vin tags remove, list goes on. This T/A is no bul, it is what it is. I did get this car off the gentleman to do a restoration on the car but I changed my mind and now I am going to do a concourse restoration on my 1970 original owner Canadian built Orbit Orange Judge. My reserve is a fair price for this T/A 455 H, we all know how hard it it to find an unmolested rare Pontiac . I will not tell the reserv, I want to be fare to all bidder, I am an honest Pontiac car guy I am not asking for a fortune and I am also not going to give it away. I want this car to be sent to a good place and restored. This car has rus, If your thinking of bidding remember thi, rust can always be fixed but if the original numbers drive train are gone they are gone forever. One thing a don't understand is the price people are paying for these cars and they will not travel to see the car before they buy it. A $500 trip could save you thousands of dollar, one persons great condition is another persons garbage if you know what I mean . I will say it agai, this 1971 Pontiac Tans Am 455 HO almost all original and running but has rust, come and see the car before you buy if possible . The last words, I am being as honest as I can about this T/A, if I missed anything or you need a picture of anything let me kno, ask all questions before bidding . Finall, the car will absolutely NOT leave my possession until all funds are clear and in my ban, buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping the car after paid for. Thanks for your time reading this book I wrote . Good luck.
