The bar of expectation is set pretty high when it comes to the Chevys of the mid-'50s. They were such an iconic group of cars and left such a lasting impression on classic car aficionados, that when we view a specimen in its restored state, we can't help but take a closer look to see if the car in question has received the treatment it deserves. This 1955 Chevrolet 210 Restomod certainly has and then some. It's a sterling example... of a restoration done right and with its upgraded drivetrain, it delivers a driving experience very much on a par with its stellar, curb appeal. The 210 already gets a proverbial head start as far as aesthetics are concerned as it along with the rest of its mid-Chevy brethren from the era have been immortalized in so many songs and movies you can likely close your eyes and easily picture one. Once you open them and take a closer look at this one, you quickly realize what the attention is all about. It's a generously proportioned, sturdily built car, with beefy chrome bumpers and an ornate grille that sits just below that rocket-shaped emblem pointing the way forward toward your next adventure and is clad in high impact black paint that's in great form. The color has a tendency to magnify any flaws that might exist on an exterior, but there are none here to be concerned about. The chrome trim mirrors that of an upper-class Bel Air and is in especially sharp condition from front to back and the body panels fit together well, with no unevenness anywhere. Its striking interior is another aspect of this vintage Chevy that's undeniably show worthy. The two rows of black and white bench seating are show stoppers, bracketed by matching door panels and sitting over an expanse of clean black carpet punctuated by a pair of Chevy-branded floor mats in front ... all of which makes for one seriously compelling driving environment. Climb in, slide into the driver's seat and take ahold of the Hurst floor shifter and you'll feel downright euphoric. In the process, you'll see a dash area that's in optimum condition, with a decorative stretch of chrome that spans the width of the cabin and fully functional gauges residing inside the fan-shaped instrument cluster. There's an added Vintage Air climate control system on board to keep everyone inside the cabin nice and comfortable, regardless of the weather outside, and both you and your passengers will enjoy a quality audio experience, courtesy of an AM/FM stereo that teams with a 10 disc CD changer. The trunk area is nicely finished as well - take a look at the gloss paint covering the exposed inner wheel wells. This '55 has it going on in the mechanical department as well. It's powered by a 350 cubic inch V8 engine that's fed by a Holley Sniper fuel injection and is dressed to the nines in a full complement of chrome components that includes its air cleaner, valve covers, and even its hoses. The engine teams with a 4-speed manual Saginaw transmission and there's a generously sized aluminum radiator in front accompanied by a pair of electric fans to keep operating temperatures under control. Power steering makes this Chevy easy to maneuver, while power brakes that include discs up front bring its set of 15" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wearing BF Goodrich T/A radials to prompt, dependable stops. Looking for a classic Chevy with plenty of dependable power and curb appeal that's sure to pull all the focus? This 1955 Chevrolet 210 Restomod is the one for you. Call today!
