It's so spectacular it'll stop traffic wherever it goes and just a glance in its direction will have you believing it's capable of stopping time itself. You'll rarely see a modded car, or any other vehicle, even approaching the excellence of this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod. It's propelled by monster power via a thoroughly enhanced modern engine and is chock full of exceptional custom touches everywhere you look. This truly spectacular Chevy has not only graced the pages of quite... a number of magazines, but it also took home the Winner's Trophy at the Goodguys Builders Choice Award. Combining outstanding craftsmanship, some serious imagination and even a helping of tasteful restraint, this build will stand against pretty much any other and prevail. Every aspect of the Chevelle's original rugged, capable shape is easily recognizable and yet the customization heaped upon it - the smoothed, color-matched front bumper, the tucked rear bumper (also color-matched) and a variety of other modifications render an idealized version of the model a sort of "Super Chevelle". It wears a distinctive Nardo Gray color over its exterior that's undeniably show quality, with a strong clearcoat in place to provide an outstanding shine. Even those accenting decals on the scooped hood and rear deck lid stand out from the norm with their unusual subtlety. The overall exterior fit is absolutely first rate as well - all the body panels are surrounded by precise gaps and the doors actually open and close more smoothly than most of their modern counterparts. With so much stellar curb appeal on display, it would be only natural to assume the interior could easily be overshadowed. Such is not the case. This vintage Chevy features a driving environment that's absolutely museum quality in both appearance and tasteful creativity, anchored by a pair of late model, contoured bucket seats wrapped in tan leather and mirrored perfectly by the bench seat in back and the door panels to each side - even the Billet Specialties steering wheel, center console and dash pad have been configured to make for a showstoppingly striking yet thoroughly cohesive interior. A full complement of Classic instruments AutoCross gauges take their place in the dash, blending nicely with the surrounding black instrument panel and an AM/FM/CD stereo with XM connectivity sits at the center to provide a strong audio experience. The net effect is a cabin that exudes muscle car self-assuredness, with the refinement of a European exotic. You'd rightfully expect exemplary power from a one of a kind ride like this and it's there, too - in abundance. Lurking under the hood is a fuel injected 6.2 liter LS3 V8 that's good for just under 500 horsepower that comes at no cost to drivability. It pairs with a 6-speed Tremec T-56 transmission that's not only geared to take full advantage of the engine's capabilities, but has also been professionally fortified to handle such an output. The 3.73 ratio rear end rounds out the drivetrain while perfectly complementing the transmission for both g-force inducing off the line acceleration and engine sparing RPMs at highway speeds. Adjustable coilovers provide a great, lowered stance and combine with smooth power steering for handling that rivals modern performance cars and power disc brakes with supersized 14" Wilwood rotors bring ultra-prompt, fade resistant stops. This stellar Chevy heats up the asphalt on a set of staggered B-Forged 500TS wheels - 18" in front and 20" in back - wrapped with Pirrelli P Zero tires. The precision and attention that went into this build are awe-inspiring and give this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod an exalted position in its specialized niche. Call today!
