1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza convertable Additional Info:
For sale today I have a 1963 Corvair Monza convertible. The car was just professionally painted in a beautiful base coat/clear coat super glossy black. The paint job alone cost me over $5000! The car was disassembled for painting, but everything was boxed and labeled for easy reassembly and everything is there! I have the original rear seat and Grand Am seats with modified tracks for the front, as well as plenty of matching front seat material to recover the rear seat to match. The floor was not altered for the Grand Am seats, so stock seats could be put in if you prefer. I have the stock seats that would need recovering. The door panels were not great so I disposed of them and none are included. Also, I installed tilt steering in the car and it is fully functional and awesome. The transmission is a 4 speed standard. Tires are not much. All glass was removed for painting but is included including the windshield. The top was in tatters and was removed for painting and a new convertible top IS NOT included. The top mechanism, however is complete and functional and the top IS power! The engine was removed but included and "running". The car has original, in tact floors and the body had virtually no rust before it was painted. The car would be an easy project and can be had for way less than you could have a car painted. any other questions, please feel free to message me or call me at 715-675-9504. If you are in the area, feel free to come and check it out in person. $500 deposit required via paypal at auction close and the remainder in cash upon pick up. vehicle must be picked up in 7 days from auction close unless other arrangements are made. Pick up and transport are of course the responsibility of the buyer. I accept paypal, bank transfer, or cash. NO money orders, NO checks, NO bank checks and NO trades
On Feb-24-18 at 14:17:38 PST, seller added the following information:Since people have been asking, I thought id make an updated listing. The car was painted about 2 years ago and has been in inside heated storage ever since. The car was not smashed or rusted before the body work was done. It was professionally painted by a retired body man that spent almost a year preparing the body and painting it. He removed every ding and imperfection then block sanded it many times to remove every ripple to make it perfect. He has painted hundreds of Corvairs over the years and even removed the ripple in the center rib of the hood that every early corvair has due to an imperfection in the original hood stamping dies. He pointed out to me many times during the painting process that he can always tell a car he painted because the hood looks better than any early Corvair that left the factory, but spends the countless hours making the hood straight because every time the car is driven, you look down the hood and he felt the it should be perfect. The car looks better than a paint job a friend of mine spent twice as much on. I am selling the car because I moved on to another project while the car was being painted and I could use the room and money, and I know I won't get to the convertible anytime soon. So..if you have the ability to reassemble it, you would have an amazing car when its done and be way ahead of the game because not only would you have a very nice corvair body but also a great paint job for probably less than you could buy a body this nice for alone.
