1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Additional Info:
Body: I'd say a 8. There is no visible rust on any of the body panels, but some rust is visible in doorjamb area see picture( driver side only). The floor and rockers are solid. The cowl looks good, rear quarters are good and trunk has no holes. Some minor dents from parking in garage with kids toys.Paint:7 for how old it is thePaint is very nic, not original color Driver door has nicks in the paint (hard to see on pictures), Some cracking on front panel Top:7 Top is fully operational but have 2 areas where small holes developed due to vibration when hidden in compartment, rear glass is clearNice new white parade cover, all snaps worksInterior is nice butneed cleaning since its white and its a convertible, some TLC will bring it back to showroom cond.Engine/trans:9 Trans shift smoothly. Lights all work. Complete restoration of engine done starts and runs smooth -no smoke or other problems PowerGlide is smooth and these are bulletproof trans. Car shows 110k miles but who knows. Typical pressure gauge light comes up after30 min, I have new presser switch to replace but on forums they say its normal, engine higher temp due to different gasoline and thinner oils used- however presser was confirmed with gauge and its ok.Wheels: Original Player wheels with newer tires Tons of spare parts, extra thermo-spring not available in stores, new distributor cap, car cover, manuals, books, touch up paint, Possibly a Southern car due to solid floors and absolutely no rust in floor panels. Never in a carwash, never outside when raining or snowing. 773-491--99eight eight.
