1976 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

This is a 1976 2.0 Volkswagon Bay window Bus camper conversion, by a local company then in the valley called Contempo. It has most of its original equipment in need of a face lift. Working stove, refrigerator, spring roller awning in great shape, Porta potty, large sleeping area, original paint with an natural attitude.
Early last year, "as a project", started a mechanical restoration, do to the fact it was parked many years in non op conditions when I found it.
List of work performed:
Compression check 135 psi all cylinders.
Dropped engine and sealed it for oil leaks, cleaned intake egr chanel with new filter.New clutch and through out bearing before putting back.
All new fuel injectors, re manufacture airflow meter, ignition coil, points, oil & filter service.
Dropped gas tank and clean with new fuel level sending unit and gasket. fuel line hoses& new bosch electric fuel pump.
Cold start.
4 new brake hoses.
2 new wheel cylinders.
4 new 185/r14 Vantra LT.
New battery.
New catalytic converter.
The results are tremendous. From non op to a daily driver.in my opinion, I still consider this solid Bus to be a running project now. It is up to you how far you would like to take the restoration.
Please write me with any questions about the Bus, or if you would like to see it in person.
Thanks!
