Up for sale is a project consisting of two VW Jetta's and an excellent desirable original volkswagen diesel engine. I bought the 1985 silver 2 door VW Jetta sedan, assembled in West Germany, in 1987 and sadly enough was rear ended a few years ago. I am it's second owner and the rear end collision was it's only collision. The car never gave me any problems and got consistently 55 mpg. I kept up the maintenance and changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. The timing belt was changed every 40,000 miles. The silver Jetta has Ziebart rustproofing and many parts like the doors and the hood are free of rust. I acquired the 4 door red Jetta sedan assembled in 1987 with a gasoline engine. The plan was to replace this engine with the diesel engine, but due to limited time I am unable finish the project.
This offer is for two original VW Jetta's and one diesel engine, which runs very well. The engine was run last about 10 month ago. The manual 5 speed transmission operates like new. There are also some new parts included. The body of the red Jetta is in good condition and has a factory sunroof. Original glass headlights with rock protectors, etc. The gasoline engine was turned in for recycling.
Each of the vehicles come with a clear title. No reserve and local pick up only! Returns will not be accepted. A $150 deposit is required within 24 hours after the auction ends.
