1986 Volkswagen Jetta Gold Additional Info:
I'm selling my beautiful classic diesel jetta. Perfect for high school or college students. EPA MILEAGE "ESTIMATES" 40MPG/50MPG CITY/HIGHWAY. These are merely government estimates; therefore, your ACTUAL mileage WILL BE DIFFERENT depending on HOW you drive. I am not making any implied or expressed guarantee that you will attain these same estimates. Moreover, DO NOT buy this car if you expect to get this same fuel economy. Buy another car which gives you that mileage guarantee that you are looking for. Compare this to the Toyota Prius with an MSRP of over $23,000. It's been in my family since the early 90's. The car has been meticulously maintained. I'm asking $3,500.00 OBO. Here is a list of what has been done to the car (selling car "AS IS, AS YOU SEE IT" with no implied or expressed promises, warranties or guarantees):
Made in West Germany
1. rebuilt 1.6 liter diesel engine with less than 80k miles on it. Both the valves and rings were rebuilt.

Add up all these parts and labor plus a $2,500 paint & body work job.The total is over $10,000. If you buy any car over 10 years old, I got news for you --- then you will also have to replace these very same parts plus labor if the previous owner hasn't done so. In fact some cars require every 5 years depending on how many miles you drive.
You don't have to buy my car. There are so many cheaper cars for sale that I'm so positivewill make so many of you so much more happy. Buy those cars if it makes you feel better to go cheap. Remember that old TV commercial during the 1980's for the Fram oil filter -- "You either pay me now or you're gonna pay somebody else a whole lot more later."
No computer, no catalytic converter, no emissions testTherefore, no expensive problems nor headaches
