1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Additional Info:

1974 Karmann Ghia on a 1986 Mustang GT platform. This is a running, driving project but still needs work for the streets. Mustang body was cut off of frame platform and Karmann Ghia body was mated. It took me 8 years to do this working on and off. It has 5.0 five speed. I was told it has a 373 gear in it but never checked. It has a short throw shifter and a Hurst stick frame, connectors, side pipes. I have some used Ford Racing ceramic headers. It has an old style corvette steering wheel. The body was stretched to fit. It also has a new battery, new fuel pump, racing fuel tank. It has new headlight rings and a new fuel cap I haven't installed yet. This is a fun car and the GT Platform is all strictly stock. I left all wiring in the car so it's easy to work on. This is still a work in process. It will still need windows and seals but I have the glass just not installed yet. It will still need all lights hooked up but have factory Mustang wiring still hooked up. It's been sitting for a while but it starts up and drives. Shifts good and stops good but could use a tune up and oil change etc. I had plans to freshen up the motor but I have no time to finish this project.
