1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

Selling our 86 Weekender, Vandalf the Brown. Rebuilt 3000 miles ago, about 102k miles now since odometer stopped then at 96k. Lots of new parts with new working AC. Tent in great shape as is the foam bed and comes with a 2" memory foam mattress. Automatic works great and allows for everyone to drive it. New OKI wetsuit seat covers on the front with lumbar support. Rear seat nice but fabric torn so Mexican blanket. Floors are new from Shaw and Beautiful! Has cruise control but not working, just hangs there. Radio works when fuse put in with clock but doesnt cut off so no fuse for you. Engine has a common lifter tick but 2 mechanics have told me not to worry about it and just drive it till it unsticks with some Marvel Mystery oil which i just added. Runs great and I would drive it anywhere and do most every day. Tires and rims like new. Paint very good for original, couple of streaks but wet sanding is removing them pretty well. Only one rust spot but it was treated with por15 and painted with the eye of sauron, fitting I believe. No oil leaks, smoke or consumption. Tons of background information and receipts. Have a sweet leather Bra from the 80's if you want to rock that. The pictures show the black wheels but it now has the great looking beige with newish Off Road tires for that Syncro look.
Not camping or road tripping so working towards a pre 72 bus instead. Kids all got older so sleeping out in the yard alone has lost its luster. Trades considered, especially VW buses. Already have a 66 Beetle so lets not go there unless its Oval and older.
Deposit is $500. If you get here and don't love Vandalf you can have it back minus fees ($250). I think you will love it and since i live a block from the ocean you can buy it and then go camping at Carolina Beach Campground for a week and drive it home!
