1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:
1985 VW Westfalia Wolfsburg Weekender Possibly cleanest rust free in all Western Canada very rare to find this condition. The Weekender has ZERO rust, no accidents, clean titl, underneath frame is perfect. It was brought up from Arizona in early 1990s. There is a file folder of all service records. The paint was done in 1993 and stills looks excellent only reason was repainted was because sun cracks from Arizona there is ZERO bondo or bodyfiller in the Westy.. Interior custom cream leather seats with Burberry curtains. The pictures speak for themselves. The 1.9 litre watercooled motor runs perfec, there is no smoke no hesitation nothing with only 107,000 documented miles on chassis, receipts for the engine work include rebuilt cylinder heads, new fuel lines . The manual transmission shifts nice and smooth with new clutch. Its ready to drive anywhere right now. Tires are Michelin with over 90 percent tread. Has factory a/c. Jump in drive !!! New battery, the top is original has minor patch. The heater fan blower motor is getting to be a bit temperamental so this will need to be looked at eventually.
But overall this van runs perfect drives solid no shakes nothing. Look at my reviews and if your in the market for one keep this one top of your list and keep it in the shape it is now and you will never lose your investment as being the Wolfsburg edition gives it more of a future collectible edge. I am only selling as I am downsizing my toys and even my place.
This Weekender does not come with stove and fridge from factory, we used a plug in inverter with spare battery to plug in a mini fridge and always kept small hibachi, that way kept the rust out that most |Westfalia get from behind the fridge when they are built in. Also kept the Weekender from smelling funny and added there is more space to sit around the table and for the full bed when the bench seat folds down
