1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Additional Info:
This is a well travelled Westfalia Weekender in decent shape.Given Jerry Garcia sticker and her history I would say many adventures have been had with this lady.
I was told by PO that she had been to Central and South America and Alaska among her USA travels. She was originally from Chicago and has an Illinois title. She is now in California. Thus she is best suited as a diesel conversion here in California or to a new home port outside of California.
Previous Owner told me she (the Van) was smoking upon last use, in that it was not at a Grateful Dead concert so I'm guessing a blown head gasket but I have not done anything nor looked closely at her engine or mechanical systems. She has rust in seams and near jack point on rocker panel. She has had a close encounter on her right rear flank and thus has some scars and bumps from that incident. She needs a better rear bumper, new lifts on rear window and a lot of little things. In that I have not driven her I know not her internal benefits or challenges. Thus she is sold as is where is to highest bidder.
I just know she looks cool and should be well worthy of restoration.
She is listed for sale locally so you should make your intentions and high bids known to me prior to final day of auction. I can be emailed at bsamx@mac.com or texted at 805-637-5498. I am in California so please be nice given our time zone.
