1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Type 2 Additional Info:
This is the original FUN V.....W. I bought this bus before my daughter finished high school as an incentive to stay in School and finish College. My plan was to finish all the final details when she finished school. She fell a couple units short so our loss is your gain. You would be hard pressed to find one in this original condition. It took me two years to find one in this condition and undercoated when new, o rust underneath, nside, r on the window channels, just noticed some surface rust on the top and the rain channels when I took the pictures. I would have had it refinished with the front, noticed some moisture and had the windshield rubber replaced and front refinished while apart, he front is like new. We've had it for 7 years and I've been watching to find another one similar and haven't found one undercoated when new yet. This is a Southern California car and never smoked in. Includes original service and operational manual in immaculate condition and the Bentley Volkswagen repair manual in exceptionally good condition. Also the original keys as well as the daily use keys. I have almost 100 recent pictures available to seeon-lineat Flickr.com search ( S Smith smiths13 ) under people tab. And yes clip on fans, oth organizers, nd beach ball included, o glue or screws used on any including the dash cover. This is a usedvehicleso there arescratchesand one deep one on the side as seen in photos, have tried to pick the best and worse for theebaypics since the max is only 24. Servicedreligiouslyand any problems repaired or replacedimmediately.VWrecliner front seats, wo position. Front seatpedestalrubber ismanufacturerback ordered currently or would have been replaced also.
Rear backup sensor. Power door locks by remote control with the alarm system, r on the added in console. Front fan control and accessory switch also in console. AM/FM cassette on the top is controlled by the auxiliary input on the new component stereo system with built inBluetooth,HDRadio, ndUSBinput,USBcable in glove box. Control boxes hidden under dash, nd 4-channel Marine amp, yle 25 x 4 under passenger seat. Master Volume control on EclipseEQas well as auxiliary input switch for DJ switching with an analog source. Power socket next to each back seat, ear 30 amp for powered cooler/heater + whatever, id 20 amp, oth continuously powered. Front control panel has three Poweroutlets, he top two accessory powered ( 15 amp combined ), he bottom one 40 amp switched directly underneath it. Sub woofer hookup already in place as seen in the extra pictures, ote if you add the sub woofer I suggest upgrading the speakers to match, hey were for the original dash system ( low power ) and adding the Dual battery system still available through any of the Classic Volkswagen parts dealersOEM. A new heavy-duty line from the battery has been added for all the power socket add-onsand electronics, ll schematics and diagrams included as well as manuals and books for all the add-ons. I'm an engineer and I designed this system to last all connections where possible are gold also.Everything works with one minor and one major exception. Minor being the cruise control that was added on, ooks like a dealer add on, oes not work I never had a use for it. We've put very little mileage on this a little over 20,000 in the seven years we've had it. The one major problem. The engine runs like a top and runs strong, ut it will not pass smog so I can't get the sticker right now and I have too many other projects going on to deal with it, nd when I just had the oil changed I found out the last person that worked on it broke the internal threads for the bolt for the oil screen and then epoxied it back on. It looks as though the engine will have to be rebuilt, efore the screen needs cleaning again. I checked on the cost it looks like 2500 to 3000 U.S.D. R&R included.I do recommend that you look through all the pictures that I have on Flickr and come and inspect it if you're a serious buyer, 'm available almost anytime just email me through eBay. The buyer will also receive my email and personal phone number, n case of any questions. I'm flexible on any arrangement for pick-up or delivery, lthough delivery is not included, nywhere in the world. You will need a moving permit if you want to drive it home, t'll drive anywhere, ecause of the California smog no sticker for the registration / plate.
