This is a 61 Single Cab that I’ve had for 17yrs. It has been my baby and I hate to have to sell him but times are a little tight right now since I’m unable to work do to health issues. This has been my daily driver as of late cause I’ve sold off all the other VW’s, this was the last one I wanted to hold on too. To the best of my ability I’ve listed some info about the VW below to help but please feel free to contact me for more info.
Interior: Seat has been rebuilt with new webbing and stuffing and new seat cover, top ceiling area is the original tan color not refurbished. The floor doesn’t have any rust
Exterior: Overall the body is very nice and straight. Body has some typical rust spots. Front cab has few dings on nose but I’ve done my best to smooth them out. The paint is not a pro job. Gates are nice and straight and look good. Some rust and holes on inside of gates. Back flat bed has a few rust holes but I’ve put a sheet of plywood to give it cover and support from the elements, very few dents, etc. Treasure chest doors open on both sides but only one has the hinge to support it open. Treasure floor looks good, but a little rust under the gas tank. Safari windows front and back.
Frame: Frame and underbody look good, very little rust and relatively clean! Underside of wheel wells looking good too, little rust but paint can still be seen.
Engine: Engine is included.Engine does runs but does need engine work.
Tires/Brakes: Two new steering tires just got them a month ago. The rear tires are still in good condition. The spare is new. New brakes all around
Misc: It comes with the canopy for the bed, I have the handles for the dual treasure chest doors and the engine compartment doors.
Clear title in hand. I hope to find it a good home. A $2000.00 deposit is required to hold the truck and full payment is due before VW is released to Buyer. All transportation arrangements are the buyer's responsibility. VW can only be held for a week.
