1963 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

1963 Original Logoed, Original Paint, Lowered, Dual Treasure Chest Single Cab!!!!
This single cab original purchased in Oklahoma. It still bears its original logos from the National Electric Company in Oklahoma City OK. Extensive work was done to this single to get it to be a daily driver. Little odds and ends are still needed (look below). It runs and drives excellent with its original 1500cc engine and transmission with matching gear reduction boxes. You can, and I have, cruised it all day long without issue. Goes down the hi-way at 57mph all day long.
Lowering:The bus was professional done at VDub Works here in Albuquerque NM. We used acombination of flipped spindles and rear notched rear spring plates.
Rust/rust repair: This bus had the typical rust issues. I had Vdub Works professionally weld in new floors, new inner and outer rockers on both sides and both short side rockers. There is stillminimaltreasure chest rust (see pics) it is not that bad. The bus looks rusty but is now super solid. The bed is incredibly straight with no waves and and has NO ROT through at all. Nose is solid, both from front and underneath (look at pics)
Brakes: completely redone on all four corners including new lines, wheels cylinders, shoes etc. Stopes on a quarter.
Interior: original springs have been professionally redone and reupholstered about 6 months ago.
Gates: truck bed gates are superstraight with no bend. one latch is frozen solid. Minimal rust at bottom of one gate.
Tires: brand new with about 750 miles on them. Stock wheels and caps.
Title: clean Oklahoma title.

Needs: The bus currently needs a operational headlight switch. Headlights do not work but did.Windshield wipers are still six volt and unhooked. Chrome latch covers on both treasure chest doors and gas flap. Door and roof panels. I have the metal strips for roof panels.One treasure chest door needs new hingeswelded in.
