1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

Patina'd, lowered, and ready to cruise this 1965 Volkswagen Beetle offers some serious distinction even in a crowd of Bugs for a seriously affordable price.VW fans tend to separate the early cars (pre-1967) from the later cars, examples like this one remaining at the top of many fans' wish lists. We might have been able to call this color burgundy a long time ago, but instead it has the perfect patina that everyone loves to see at the car shows. In fact, with the taillight pinstriping, larger wheels, and lowered stance (including the negative camber in the rear wheels) this car has that cool, modern VW hot rod aggression. But at its heart, it's still an early Bug. With the bigger headlights, the early cars are much more endearing, and the flat windshield and rubber running boards add a certain vintage appeal. Then you add in great elements like the roof rack, front accessory light, and the straight vintage body with complete trim. Now you realize why this VW is so striking it perfectly merges the new and vintage worlds.Inside the classic VW two-tone is highlighted by newer white door panels, red carpets, and red & white seat covers. The whole setup looks strikingly original from the driver's seat including the two-spoke steering wheel with Wolfsburg crest and central VDO speedometer. This is truly VW's simple chic at its finest. The engine bay is a very clean marvel of simplicity just what these Beetles should be. The very tidy 1300cc horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine is an appropriate one-barrel carburetor. It fires up easily with a magical buzz that only an air-cooled motor can. These are far from the most powerful motors out there, but you do get an extra kick going down the road thanks to an upgraded motor for '65 and there are even added components like upgraded heads. Plus, these indestructible powerplants are part of a larger engineering package that makes these VWs legendary. The rear-mounted motor gives the car good traction, and doesn't have the power loss associated with a large driveshaft. The four-cylinder is built to be stout and run all day without overheating thanks to air cooling. Also, you get to make the most out of this motor with the control of the four-speed manual transmission. The result is a nippy little car. But let's face it, when it looks this good, you want to be going slow enough so everyone gets a good stare at your Bug.This is the perfect blend of custom, vintage, and affordable. You know you're supposed to pay a lot more for a head-turning Beetle like this, so then you also know how quick you have to be to snatch up this deal. Call today!!!
