Offered for sale is my Montana Native 1984 Toyota FJ 60 Land Cruiser with 114k miles. This is a true survivor wearing its original paint and still running all of its original running gear. I am the 3rd owner of this Cruiser. The first owner sold it in 1988 to the family I purchased the vehicle from. The son told me how much his father loved this truck and that he took meticulous care of it. It has always been serviced by our local Toyota dealer since new. Looking at the vehicle it shows. The son would not even show me the vehicle if it looked like rain was in the forecast. The paint has character from its 34 years of adventures in the mountains of Southwest Montana but still shines nicely. The son said his father used the truck to hunt elk and also load a small trailer with the occasional load of firewood. The truck is mostly rust free except for a small patch near the mud flaps on the front fenders. The body shows some chips and scratches and one small dent in the passenger fender. The interior shows use but overall is in excellent shape. The worst wear is on the driver?s seat base. The carpet has some pilling in areas but still shows well. All electronics function as they should and the A/C blows cold. The truck starts and runs excellent. The motor does have a small oil leak, not exactly sure of its origin but I suspect it is the rear main seal. It has left one very small drip on the floor in the garage in the 6 months since I have owned it. The transmission feels tight and shifts through all of the gears nicely. The 4 wheel drive system engages easily and works as it should. I am an easy mark for old Land Cruisers and when this one became available locally I could not pass it up. Now that I have laid my hands on it I feel that it should remain in its stock form and that is not what I am currently looking for so I am passing it on to someone who will hopefully maintain its originality.
