For ten years from 1980-1990 the J60 series was built. Quite possibly the sport utility of all time. This was the first time that the rugged off-road vehicle resembled more of a wagon than a stubby off-road only vehicle. The 60 had some nice creature comforts with standard A/C and optional power features. It still retained the same engine design that was used in the 40 Series but with some refinement. This particular FJ60 is finished in a very nice... and rare color of paint code 857 or Medium Blue over a very nice gray interior. With the exception of some staining on the all original carpet the rest of the cars interior is above average for all interior car. The paint is believed to be original as the vehicle spent most of its life in Colorado and California before making its way here to Michigan where it has not seen a winter and was used as a secondary summer vehicle only. The car has a clean carfax and passed California emissions up until the time it left in 2012. It has had good service with a lot of receipts dating back a ways. Everything is in good working order including the A/C that seems to blow cold with a good fan motor. The 4X4 works on command, a good stereo system and all lights in good working order. There appears to be no rust or rot with nice paint. The paint appears to be original so there is some light scratching and stone chips but nothing severe. This truck starts right up with the functioning choke, idles nicely and goes down the road as you would imagine.
