1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk leather seating area vinyl trim Additional Info:
I am the second owner of this California 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk. The car had no dents, accidents, nor any rust. The old paint was sanded to bare metal and primed. All bright work was removed along with doors, hood, deck lid, bumpers, rear window, windshield, and other removable parts for painting Honduras Maroon, BC/CC. The restoration included: 1988 Camaro 305 with its 700R4 transmission plus new headers, dual exhaust, and a rebuilt Holley AFB carburetor, Uni-steer 360 W Electra-Steer power steering with tilt, Vintage Air Gen IV installed behind dash, Tuner disk front brakes, anti-sway bar in rear, new rear shocks, 1956 front top fender mounted turn signals, GE Nighthawk headlights, 1964 rear tail lights, 1961 bucket seats, head liner with SS bows, alternator one wire, HEI, refurbished radiator, new rear drums and shoes, Holley electric fuel pump with an interior on/off switch, SS wheel well fender trim, electric radiator fan, new water pump, new starter, EZ wiring kit with fuse panel, Original clock converted to quartz, Six new Dolphin gauges, Radio AM/FM/cassette, retractable front fender antenna, Owner manual, Tires have less than 2,500 miles, 2020 battery with knife blade cut-off switch, center console with A/C controls, new doors and glass rubber gaskets. Professionals did the painting, windows, and engine installation. Hagerty’s price guide for (non-customized) 1959 Studebaker Hawks is $34,300.00 for Excellent condition and $20,500.00 for good condition. This Hawk is certainly better than “good”. This Hawk has no steering play and will drive as any car of its era. Nonetheless, I favor a car carrier. I have used and can recommend Excellent Auto Transport in NM.
