1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk Project Car. The car was purchased with two views, estore it as a nice driver or remove and install body on more modern drive train. Both options are viable but this is a project car and if is your very first, ou may want to pass it up.
The car has good bones and surprisingly little rust in the areas that would be expected but others will need to be replaced, ike the trunk lid and rear body cross member (both available aftermarket). WE made sure that all the pieces that we could not possibly fab up were available. WE believe most if not all of the stainless trim is with the car. Engine and trans is with the car but not installed. Trans is manual but the car was an automatic. we believe that somewhere along the line it was going to be converted because there is a floor shifter with it but not sure.
Drivers side door glass is broken and gone, indshield is damaged but intact. Other glass is in good condition. Doors are in fairly good condition and open and close well. Interior is in the car but would need addressed. Dash face is in place but tach is missing (never worked anyway). Has a padded dash but pad will either need replaced or removed and painted.
Please ask any questions you have prior to bidding. I am not a Stude expert and I do not want to mislead anyone.
