This is a real deal Shelby GT 500 never before on the market! This is a 3-owner Shelby, with the last owner taking possession of it for the last 40 years. This 38,000-mile (documented by odometer and title) Shelby is one of the last Shelbys made in 1967 before Ford took over, and comes with extensive Documentation and History. This is a very correct original, survivor quality, early model GT500 numbered #280. The exterior is painted in its factory-correct Dark Moss Green paint (#2039-A) and has the iconic white painted stripes along the Shelby hood, Correct Shelby trunk, and white vinyl GT500 vinyl stripes along the side. Following the list of highly optioned parts shown on the Elite Marti Report are the Numbered Kelsey-Hayes Mag Star Deluxe wheels with the optional power disc brakes just beyond the rims. All corners of the Shelby still obtain all the factory-correct Shelby badging throughout. It still has the factory headlights with the correct high beam center FoMoCo HighBeam lights inserted into the original inboard grill, making the a very early Shelby. Pushing it a notch further is all of the original glass, factory-stamped quarter panels, and even the factory original exhaust tips!

Underneath the hood is the factory-correct Ford 428FE big block with the Correct heads and Intake Manifold. It has been made it up to the factory-correct, numbers matching Four-speed manual transmission. The motor features the factory original Cobra Leman's valve covers with the correct dual carburetor set up underneath the original Cobra air element (Extra Cooling Package). Stepping on the interior is like taking a step back in time, with a full original Black Decor interior. All of the components are working including all of the Courtesy Light Group lighting, instrument panel gauges, radio, and even the original stamped GT500 steering wheel. This Shelby also has the option SW oil pressure and voltage gauges below the radio. The factory roll cage still has the factory Shoulder harness attached, as well as the Shelby lap belts. Turning your attention to the rear is a rare optioned fold-down Sport-Deck Seat that leads into the trunk area with the correct Original felt trunk mat and factory spare rim and original tire.

Although this car looks absolutely stunning, please understand that this is still a 50 year old car with imperfections as it wasn't restored yesterday and has some mileage since the build. And due to our inventory size, we are unable to drive every vehicle for long distances. We do 40-60 miles between inspections, test drives, the video, etc. We cannot guarantee that every gauge, light, window, horn, option, function, etc. will work as it should. The mileage listed is documented and verified by the odometer. In some cases, it is not a representation of actual mileage on the body but the mileage on the build. The mileage is not actual unless stated otherwise. Please check your local state inspection requirements. We do our best to inspect these vehicles in every detail and note any imperfections in the ad. As with all classic cars, it will need odds and ends down the road as you begin to drive it more often! Many times, these vintage vehicles can sit for long periods of time and seals harden and gaskets may begin to leak once you begin to drive them. However, this will continue to be a sought-after classic car that you will be proud to own and very happy to drive in! The information contained within this ad is solely for convenience. The description is opinion only and should not be considered a complete description of any or all faults; it may not be relied upon nor taken as fact or otherwise a representation or warranty of any sort.
