Titled in Tennessee this head turner has less than 10,000 miles and is in very good mechanical and electrical condition. The body has a few stone chips (see photos) but otherwise is in excellent shape. The paint sparkles in the sunshine due to the incorporation of powdered glass. The finish is silver with double black stripes, is as hard as the surface of a golf ball. It was professionally painted.
There is plenty of enough horsepower to snap your head back without being so powerful that it’s difficult to drive in traffic. There are several extra instruments all of which are bezelled at an angle facing the driver. There is an in-line fuel gauge in the engine compartment. This is a Mk II built between 2004-07. After replacing the intake manifold, it develops >200 bhp [see graphic] from an otherwise stock 1992 Mustang 302 and it has a manual, 5-speed Tremec transmission that has just been overhauled. The clutch is medium-duty and was replaced about 500 miles ago.
There are extended foot boxes on both the passenger and driver side protected from engine heat by Dynamaxaluminum-backed pitch. Also, there is an extra 5” of depth in the trunk and the battery is hidden and covered in the trunk. The brakes have power assist and there is a footrest next to the clutch pedal. Both the hood and the trunk are lined and both have pneumatic openers. There are padded door panels with pockets and aluminum door sills to protect the fiberglass from scuffs. the frame is powdercoated.
It has never been competitively driven, autocrossed, drag raced, etc. There is no rust and the interior is in excellent condition.
It did spin out and hit a tree causing only bodywork damage behind the driver side door and in front of the rear wheel. It was professionally repaired and other painters have told me that the repairs are all but impossible to see.
Opportunities for improvement:
Lots of spare odds-and-ends, fog lights, and the components to make an electric hood opener
