1965 Porsche 356 Additional Info:
I am listing this for a friend of mine, I have done light service on this car over the past 18 years, the car is an older restoration, that has been meticulously cared for, driven to Sunday morning coffee or just locally. It has retained its black and yellow plates with the year to year stickers neatly stacked up on the upper corner. The mileage driven yearly is about 500-600 miles.
The kardex is present showing the car to have matching numbers, original color was irish green, currently signal red, the paint is flawless with a deep luster and no orange peel, its covered always and only been washed with water 2 times in 18 years, otherwise professionally cleaned and covered. The interior is full black leather with deluxe matching German square weave carpet mats in place of rubber mats, seats do have 3 point seat belts and factory headrests, the floors are original and the battery pan was replaced 18 yrs ago at time of restoration, the front closing panels have been patched adequately, but not to a show standard. The front bonnet was bent at some point and strengthend and a fairly clean job of it, and fits perfectly.
The chrome is in show condition through out the car, including four perfect chrome wheels and a painted spare. Leitz chrome luggage rack is included.
The rubber seals are all in very good shape. Doors and lids fit as they should, open and close with ease. Car starts up on the first turn of the key and after a few days of sitting I pumped the accelerator 3 times and it fired up straight away and on all four cylinders. It still hosts its original Zenith carburators and aircleaners, shows well "as is" but does show for usage from the past few years.
All the lights work well, including the courtesy lights upon opening the doors, blinker indicator light and hand brake indicator light which show the integredy of this example.
The transmission was recently rebuilt by a reputable German shop, it functions quietly, shifts smoothly and you could drive this car to its new home anywhere in the country.
The engine runs strong, quietly, does not smoke, needs nothing, the compartment retains all its original sound deadning
Original operators manual, jack, partial tool kit, records dating back to last time of purchase. Also present is a factory color chart of colors offered but for the years of 1960-62.
Inspections can be made by appointment and are encouraged, the car does speak very well on its merits, no warranties offered or implied, no excuses necessary. No low ballers please, car is fair market value.
