1986 Porsche 944 Turbo Additional Info:
The BEST color combo, Guards red with black interior.I have owned 5 944's over the years and this was my "keeper". I have driven other 944's and many of them feel old and tired. When you drive this car, it feels like you are in the 80s. It feels like it is maybe 5 years old, not over 30 years old. The 944 still looks great, the design has held up over time. The fender flares still give it a mean aggressive stance that few other cars have.I am selling because I have a lot of cars and it is time to downsize. I only drive this a few days a year to exercise it.Everything is in good shape. It isn't a show car, but it looks good as you can see in the pictures. The paint is glossy, but it has stone chips on the front nose and a few dings. It looks good from 10ft, but you could repaint the nose and paintless dent repair the couple dings if you want it really nice.Mechanically everything is kept up. The timing belt was replaced within the last few thousand miles. Their is a little vibration in the front wheels, probably a wheel weight came off and needs to be re-balanced. The tires are good all around. The car has a cat test pipe on it, but the original cat is included. The car is "chipped" by the previous owner, so I don't know anything more about it except that I have the original chips that could be put back in. It also has a boost enhancer on it. The A/C has a slight leak, so it needs recharged once a season. I have a dyno run somewhere, I will find it and include in the sale. I think I remember it being like 260 to 270hp at the wheels.I also think I have the original manual, the sunroof bag/cover, tools, and tire pump(rare). Don't hold me to all those yet, I haven't dug them out of storage, I will for a serious buyer, I just wanted to get this listed. The interior looks and feels great. The only issue is two small cracks in the dash. I would think they are small enough that they could be repaired if you want. There is a subwoofer that sits nicely in a rear seat and so you can really crank up the music while you are racing around. No weird smells or stains or wear, it doesn't feel old or worn. The 944 Turbo is a great deal. These sold for around $35k new in 86 dollars which is $80k in todays dollars. So for $10k, don't expect a brand new car, but for $10k, you get a great looking car that drives great and a very dependable. And is appreciating.
