1976 Plymouth Other Additional Info:
This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION for a 1976 Plymouth Volare sport Coupe. 318 V-8 4spd power steering, ower front disc brakes, ingle exhaust.Just a good entry level Mopar project that wont break the bank. This is the last of a package of Mopar cars we took in trade on a 71 Charger Rt. We have had the car sitting for a couple of years until we fixed and sold the other ones off. We are selling this one in project form but i dontbelieveit would take much to get it on the road. The car does run and yard drive. Looks like someone did the front brakes and lines so it does stop. I have shifted it in all the gears but ibelieveit will need a clutch soon. Motor seems to run well, o noise, nbsp;but does smoke a little whenidlingmay possibly need valve seals. The interior is all intact but drivers bucket seat does need upholstery and door panels have speaker holes in them. The body is pretty decent . Nice solid fenders, oors, ockers, nbsp;and drivers side rear quarter. The passenger quarter needs a little cleaning up around the wheel lip edge and lower bottom. Looks like it was repaired just not finished. Also the drivers side front fender has some damage around the parking light area. Can be saved but I purchased 2 perfect front fenders( left and right) in case someone wanted to change this one. I would take what I paid for them which is $100 each. As far as the underside of the car the trunk is rock soli, heel tubs are in great shape, ear frame rails and floors in great shape. Matter of fact 95% of the underside is solid.Includingthe tortion bar area. I did see a rust thru area on the drivers front floor pan covered with a piece of tin and a rusted out area on the bottom of one of the small frame sections close to the floor pan. Looks like you could just cap it on the bottom or they may even sell a sleeve for that. The car originally was orange and black sport two tone paint. A lot of it had been sanded off and put in primer and in smallarrearssurface rust was starting to bleed through. We brought it in and cleaned the body back up and just sprayed it out lightly to the combination that it was. Also this was to protect the panels from any more surface rust until someone could do the car right. Also the grill needs replacement We have a Maine registration and proper dealer paper work for a smooth transaction. Please be serious in your bidding. We require a $500 dollar non refundable deposit at the end of the sale and balance due within 3 days of auctions end. UPDATE I HAD A FEW EBAYERS ASKING MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE SEVERITY OF THE FRAME RUST. IN MY ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION I WROTE WHAT WAS TOLD TO ME WHEN I GOT THE CAR. I DON'T WANT TO MISLEAD ANYBODY SO I JACKED UP THE CAR AND DID A CLOSER INSPECTION. THE BACK FRAME RAILS TUBS FLOORS ETC ARE AS I DESCRIBED.THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT FRAME RAIL IS A LOT WORSE . SOMEONE PUT SPRAY FOAM IN THE RUST HOLES AND COVERED IT UP. I CAN SEE THE RUST THRU EXTENDS UP THE FRAME RAIL. IT CAN BE WELDED BUT SHOULD BE REPLACED. ALSO THE PASSENGER SIDE RAIL ALTHOUGH NOT ANY WHERES NEAR AS BAD DOES HAVE SOME RUST THRU ALSO. FLOORS ON BOTH SIDES OF THOSE FRAME RAILS DOES HAVE SOMEPERFORATION. IT'S KIND OF ODD BECAUSE THE FRONT TORTION BAR AREAS ARE BOTH NICE. MUST OF TRAPPED MOISTURE IN THOSE AREARS. SO IAM LOWERING THE PRICE AS TOO HELP THE BUYER WITH THE COST OF REPAIRS OR PURCHASE FOR PARTS.
