Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 60+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE is a rock solid 1989 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado. I would rate the exterior of this Chevy truck to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in classic red and white two tone. The finish is faded from age, as you'd expect, but is presentable and looks the part. The body is pretty straight for an old truck. There is a dent here and there, but nothing you can fault an old truck for. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. I'm sure there is a spot or two of rust here and there...but nothing bad. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory steel wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. There are a set of running boards along either side, which can probably be credited for saving the rockers from stones and eventual rust. The bed has a protective liner and a soft bed cover, too. This is a solid old truck, that looks to have been well cared for by her previous owner. She was serviced at the same Chevy dealer where she was finally traded in on a new Chevy. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Silverado K1500 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are a little loose at the bottom from rubber on the rocker over the years, but are acceptable and show minimal wear for their age. The dash is clean and the headliner has been removed by the previous owner, most likely because it was sagging. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. A set of "Chevy" floor mats came in the truck when it came to me and will go with the truck. The optional cloth bucket seats are clean, comfortable and show virtually no wear. This Silverado also has optional power windows and door looks, both of which work properly. The stereo is original and appears to be working properly. The optional factory equalizer also appears to be working properly. The climate control system also appears to be working propelry. It is too cold to confirm that the air conditioner is cooling effectively but the heater works well. Behind the front seats is a bench seat for extra passengers or extra room for your gear that you don't want to be out in the elements. The original owner's books are included. Pride in ownership shows thorughout this Chevy Silverado. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Silverado 4x4 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 350ci V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent for an old truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. This truck feels rock solid driving down the road. The engine keeps perfect temperature and good oil pressure at all times. The V8 makes plenty of power and feels smooth. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. I was blown away by how nice this Chevy drives. In the glove box are several old service receipts, including the receipt for the last inspection...totaling nearly $2,000. For last inspection, it got a new exhaust, new tires, a new pitman arm, new intake gaskets and more. Like I said, pride in ownership shows throughout this old Chevy. Its most recent oil change was done at Thorton Chevrolet, where it was traded on a new Chevy. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints...at all. This old Silverado easily cruises down the highway at 75mph without breaking a sweat. She has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of January, 2019. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
