Up for NO-RESERVE auction is my 1955 Chevrolet 210 “Del Ray” 2-Door Club Coupe (VIN B55F215387). The car received a show-quality, frame-off rotisserie restoration completed in 2020 by a well-known Tri-Five specialist and has been driven less than 100 miles since. Always stored indoors in a climate-controlled garage and never driven in the rain. I bought it directly from the restorer, kept it in my private collection, then moved out of state; the car now sits under cover in a friend’s heated garage and needs a new caretaker. I believe it’s a $55-60 k+ example—so starting at $28,000 with no reserve could be the bargain of the year.
Walk-around in wordsA true Tri-Five icon, freshly finished in 2020 after a nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration by a well-known Chevy specialist. The car wears a crisp two-tone blue & white (India Ivory over Cashmere Blue) exterior with mirror-straight panels and show-quality chrome. All stainless trim has been polished; every emblem is NOS or better. Floors, trunk pan and frame are as clean as the topside.
Inside you’ll find the correct Del Ray pattern interior—blue/white vinyl seats, new headliner, matching door panels, fresh carpet and a flawless “machine-turn” dash insert. It’s a radio-delete car from the factory, but I’ll include a working ’55 Chevy AM unit if you want tunes.
ExteriorFactory two-tone India Ivory over Cashmere Blue (Code 6) expertly applied to the glass-straight body, uniform gaps, I included pics of all the gaps. This has a deep shine.
All stainless moldings polished; chrome bumpers, grill, emblems either NOS or triple-plated—zero pitting or dull spots.
Undercarriage, trunk pan and frame finished as nicely as the topside; no rust or patchwork anywhere.
Known blemish: one touch-up spot on the passenger side hood edge (only visible when the hood is cracked open ~½"). Otherwise show-level.
Correct Del Ray blue/white vinyl upholstery (Trim 50) with matching door panels, new headliner and carpets—looks factory-fresh.
Dash paint, steering wheel, stainless “machine-turn” insert and gauges all restored.
Radio-delete car from new, but I’m including a working 1955 AM radio should you want to install it.
All lights, horn, wipers, dome lamp, heater controls and gauges work as they should. There is an aftermarket tach that is disconnected.
Rebuilt 265 cid V-8—stock appearance, Carter carb, dual exhaust. Fires instantly, idles smooth, runs cool. No leaks, or odd noises.
Rebuilt 3-speed manual (“three-on-the-tree”) with factory overdrive—shifts cleanly; overdrive engages properly.
New wiring harness, fuel and brake lines, brake hardware, steering and suspension bushings, shocks and springs.
Modern 12-volt electrics retained for reliability; battery replaced last season.
Serviced every fall and spring—ready to drive anywhere.
Clean MAtitle.
The videos and pictures wereshot Thursday May 15th with exception to the first photo that has my kids in the car: cold start, walk-around, engine running.
Loose OEM 1955 radio, original jack and spare tire.
I relocated out of state; my friend now needs his garage spot back. Rather than shuffle the car again, I’m letting it go NO RESERVE starting at $28,000—far below the high-$50K market these cars command when this clean.
Starts at $28,000—no reserve. Highest bid wins.

$500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close, payable through eBay’s checkout (PayPal or credit card).
Remaining balance must be paid within 7 days by bank wire transfer or cash in person—no PayPal, credit cards, or escrow for the balance.

If you’ve priced high-end Tri-Five restorations lately, you know replicating this build would cost far more than my no-reserve start price—paint, chrome and interior work alone can top $40 k. Add in a rust-free body, rebuilt drivetrain with rare overdrive, and meticulous storage, and you have a turn-key ’55 210 Del Ray that’s ready for shows, cruises, or just admiring in the garage.
Bid early, bid often, and good luck!
