This is easily the nicest and most desirable 300zx on the market. For the Nissan enthusiast, this is the Ultimate. From front to back she is in absolute showroom condition. The 1994 is certainly the most desirable year for the 300zx Twin Turbo. Only 829 Twin Turbos were built in 1994. This 300zx Twin Turbo #545169 is 1 of less than 100 in this option package. Compared to 2,921 Toyota Supra Turbos built the same year.
The Z32 chassis 300zx Twin Turbo was on Car and Drivers Top 10 Best Car list for all 7 years it was in production. The Z32 was also awarded the Motor Trend "Car of the Year" award. The 300zx easily rose to defeat its competitors of the time including the Chevrolet Corvette Z51, FD Mazda Rx-7, Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4, Acura NSX, Dodge Viper, 993/968 Porsche Carrera 911 and even fought against the MKIV Toyota Supra Turbo with success. This 300 still stands out over most sports car of today. You do not have to take my word for it, in 2014 AutoWeek wrote an article titled "25 years later, the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo is still dreamworthy." Like any desirable collector sports car, this Nissan 300zx Z32 has a successful racing pedigree. In 1994 the Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo won the 24 Hours of Daytona, and won first in class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTS-1. In fact, the 1994 300zx Twin Turbo VG30DETT was so successful in auto racing that the IMSA declared the VG30DETT ineligible for racing starting in 1995, in an attempt to level the playing field for other manufacturers. Also in 1994, the 300zx even broke the EBM Class land speed record 260.87 MPH at the Bonneville Speed Trial (the 300zx z32 has one of the lowest drag coefficient of all time at .30).
In 1994 the 300zx received lots of upgrades on street cars over previous years including: electronically controlled SUPER HICAS (4 wheel steering), added safety with more airbags and relocated seat belts, upgraded body package and spoiler on the Twin Turbo, New style fuel injectors, keyless entry, suede/alcantara interior and adjusting side bolstering. The 1996 300zx are known in the z community as the least desirable model yeardue to the complicated and consistently flawed OBDII computer system in all 1996 models.
