This 1971 Spanish Mini is not junk. It is a perfectly reasonable restoration candidate. It is a nearly rust
free car from Southern Oregon. As seen in the pictures, the drip rails, rockers and underside have no
significant rust. It is not a candidate for new floors or other panel replacement. Even the battery box
is in very good shape. I have not found any bondo. It does have roll up windows. The sun roof is very
good quality with glass not plastic glazing. If you have ever tried driving a Mini in the USA summer time
you will immediately appreciate the sun roof's addition to air flow through the car. Thought to be a
1275, it is not a Cooper S, although it does have multiple Cooper S features including 7.5 inch front
disk brakes, and twin fuel tanks. It also has the desirable 12G940 cylinder head with 11 studs, and
twin SU carburators. The car is rolling on 4 decent Cosmic wheels, currently painted metallic silver,
and 4 new zero mile (still have pips) Yokohama A008 tires. It does have, as pictured, a one piece
fiberglass front end added by the previous owner in order to simplify working on the car. I do have
a steel front clip that will be included if the buyer wants, and a steel hood that may or may not be usable.
I don’t know the condition of the engine, as I have never tried to start it. Milage indicated is belived
to be accurate but I have no way of verifying it. I do not have a title. The car will be sold with a
bill of sale only. Vehicle must be picked up not later than August 7th.
Thanks for looking.
