1980 Mercedes 300TD Wagon

1980 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Additional Info:

I purchased this 1980 Wagon 10 years ago from a Mercedes collector who had purchased it from an Estate that was the original owner of the vehicle. He quickly turned the car over to the market due to health issues after completing some minor improvements including new tires, a windshield, and some vinyl repair. I haven't driven it much, keeping it garaged and taking it out once a month or so. Located in Sacramento, California and serviced by a renowned garage, Silver Star. I am willing to assist with any pre-purchase inspections that you may want to coordinate in my area. The vehicle has spent its entire life on the West Coast, originally purchased in Eugene, OR.The original owners had the engine replaced with a MB factory crate engine at 119K miles so this motor has around 20K miles on it.I don't know the reason but I have the receipt from the MB dealership showing the replacement and the designation as being a factory engine. I have all their records as well as the original owners manual and dealer information. The new engine has run like a top since I have owned it, the transmission shifts with authority.The vehicle has never been in an accident since I have owned it and there are no obvious sign of any body damage that I can see. All glass is original except for the replaced PGW windshield. No rust. The dashboard has no cracks. The battery is new and strong.*This is not a Turbo motor. "TD" refers to the wagon model type.Known Issues:-Front Passenger seat belt does not retract all the way.-Climate control heater and fans work. AC compressor does not turn on.-Rear Gate Lock Actuator doesn't respond to central lock but does lock and unlock with key.-The handle for the front seat height adjustment is missing.-Radio antenna extends and retracts but doesn't retract all the way.Please reach out if you have any questions.
