1980 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Additional Info:
Selling my 1980 wagon (name that came with it is Judy Blue), sadly. This is my secondary car and I don't have room for it anymore. :-( Hoping a new owner can give it a good home and some love! I grew up with a 79 wagon so this was a fun piece of nostalgia for me.
I am the 4th owner. The 3rd owner was in Dallas; I am in Austin. I know that the second owner was also in Texas but not sure about the first owner. The car was garage kept with the 3rd owner. I have garage kept it about half of the time I've had it but not currently.
This car is 36 years old- please keep this in mind! It runs great and has always been reliable (I drove it to west Texas and back- 8 hours each way- with no issues at all.
I am not a mechanic, and I am not a dealer. But I will tell you everything I know about that car and please feel free to ask me questions or give me a call to discuss. (Five one two four six eight four five seven five.)
In the past few months, I have:
- purchased 5 new tires (full size spare!)
- replaced the fuel shut off valve
- checked the brakes (they were squeaking when it was raining recently...my mechanic said it must have been the rain because all his clients were complaining about squeaky brakes. He said my brakes are fine.)
Some things to note about the car:
- the driver's window is the only one that works
- the odometer started running a little faulty about one thousand miles ago, in the sense that it is slow but still ticking. I have kept track of mileage by recording when I fuel up
- the previous owner replaced some of the interior with carpeting as you can see in the photos, so that is not original
- there's a small crack in the dash but otherwise is very clean
- the previous owner replaced the transmission, although I do not have full records from him
- she could use a paint job- I thought about it but I kind of love her the way she is.
- has current registration/tags in Texas and title is clear
- starts up every time with no issues
