1974 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 450SL Roadster R107 Convertable Additional Info:

1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Roadster

For your consideration is this great example of an early 107 chassis roadster. The beauty and classic styling of the 107 chassis was so ahead of it’s time that it was in production for nearly 30 years without any major styling changes! It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful roadsters that Mercedes-Benz ever made and most recently collectors are beginning to notice the cars simple, but classic lines and advanced engineering. While these cars will not hit the numbers of early 911s, old Alfas, or this SL’s predecessor, the W113 chassis, they are on the uptick and appreciating quite rapidly so get yours while still affordable.

-Exterior-

The paint is in great condition, and while being older paint, it still retains a nice shine and presents itself extremely well. The chrome trim is also in great shape. The undercarriage is very clean and solid.

The original Bundt Cake rims are perfect, absolutely no curb rash and tires are in virtually brand new.

-Interior-

The interior is in good condition. The MB Tex seats, dash door panels are all in great shape.

-Engine & Transmission-

The original eight cylinder engine starts up on the first try and it is strong as ever. It runs and idles as it should, with no problems. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping or jerking. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the wind whipping through your hair, It drives nice and straight at any speed.
