1948 Lincoln Continental Restomod Coupe

This is a truly forties icon classic with modern day upgrades, ence the name “Restomod”. What is the difference between restomod and restoration? Traditionally, utomotive restoration essentially refers to taking a collector car and bringing it back to life utilizing as many OEM pieces as possible. The process involves repair of the visible parts (e.g., ody trim, nterior, tc.), s well as the parts not easily seen (e.g., lectrical, uspension, rakes, tc.). All restomods are different and each builder has his/her own objectives, owever, he overall the idea is to retain the essential look of the classic while increasing reliability and performance. This Lincoln is a great example of a mild restomod built to look stock but with a more modern interior and drivetrain.
1946-1948 Lincolns are rare due to the fact that they were one of the more expensive luxury cars of the era. This great looking example is now powered by a Ford 351 cid Windsor V-8 with a HDI electronic distributor which is linked to a C4 automatic transmission. Other mechanical upgrades include 12-volt electric system, lectric cooling fan, ebuilt transmission, nd more. It has been further enhanced with such amenities as power windows, ower steering, ide white wall Coker tires on 15 inch steel wheels with period correct chrome wheel covers and beauty rings. Note: windshield wipers currently inoperable.
Finished in a period rich dark green, he exterior finish shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and show extremely well boasting recent re-chroming. Having spent much of its life in dry climate, he body of this iconic luxury car shows extremely well with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. The interior carries the simple yet elegant theme of the rest of the car with recently upholstered light seats and door panels. Both front and rear bench seats and all look great with no visible wear. Upon entering the car, ne is greeted by a gorgeous refinished wood dash with reconditioned instruments that are just as pretty now as they were when the car was new. The elegant craftsmanship of these great American classics is represented beautifully by this tastefully restored and upgraded Continental making it a fantastic addition to any collection!
