1969 Land Rover Series 2a II 109 RHD Ex-MOD
This Landy started out its life in Northern Ireland serving in the British Army as a Fitted For Radio (FFR) mobile landing command center. At some point it made it's way to Virginia, then Tennessee, then Texas, where I bought it. I drove it back home to the east coast and enjoyed the vehicle for several years until it overheated and blew the head. I tore it down about 18 months ago and never completed the repair. Life is too busy right now, and I need to get Ol' Pappy out of my yard.
Plan on replacing at least the head and radiator. This would be an excellent candidate for a conversion to GM, Chevy, Mercedes or Volvo redblock. The 24 volt system has been changed to 12v, alternator conversion done as well.
Comes with obligatory boxes of spare and new parts. Some rust on the outriggers. Frame is solid and coated with waxoil. Although this is no cream puff, it is a solid vehicle. True mileage unknown. Pioneer package included. Does not run or start, sold as-is, where is. Buyer must arrange shipping.
Advertised and for sale, locally.
