Vehicle Details
1967 International Harvester Scout 800a. I have this listed locally and could end the auction early if a price is agreed upon. I have a walk around video and a startup video available upon request. This is not a restoration Scout, this is a drive it play with it, touch it up change it up and improve more on it Scout. It’s got a strong running 345 V8 with a 4 speed transmission, power brake booster. Front disc brakes rear drums. The rear fenders were cut by previous owner to accommodate larger wheels and tires. Tires are still in good shape and have a lot of life left in them. They are BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A LT29555R20. It’s got a good looking but not show quality paint job on it that looks great from 8’ away, not 5’. Looks amazing from 10’. Drivers side door does have some rust at the bottom of the door that could probably be cut out and welded in and repaired fairly easily. It’s a 57 year old vehicle. It’s not perfect. LED lights all around all the gauges work and are new. I replaced the old 302 International with what I was told was a rebuilt 345. I did not break it down to confirm but it runs amazing and doesn’t leak a drop of oil. With the larger wheels and tires it could really benefit from power steering but it currently doesn’t have that. It has a marine grade stereo system that sounds great even cruising at 70mph. I do not have a hard top for it. It’s a fair weather cruiser and the windows and regulators have been removed to make the doors lighter. The gap for the windows was welded closed with sheet metal and has a nice clean look to it. I’ve had this vehicle in Texas for the last 8 years and it was in Texas before that. The wood floor is sitting on top of the original metal floor which is in great shape. I just preferred the clean look of the wood. Seats were reupholstered and rebuilt about 4 years ago and are in amazing shape still. They are a high quality automotive vinyl. I don’t current have seatbelts in the rear seat. The exhaust is cut but sounds great. If you have questions I’d be happy to answer them to the best of my ability and welcome independent inspections at your cost non refundable. I’ve done my best to list the things I could think of but I’m sure I missed things I encourage you to come see it in person if you are serious about buying it. This will be sold as is where is.
