1978 IH SCOUT ll Very minor majorly rust free scout .In a few typical places. Rear fender at top PS Small area on side front of rear tire .All body mounts good no rust underneath besides surfac, minimal too!ROCKERS ARE GOOD Has 4in lift ? I just drove this from Albuquerque to Phoenix on Tuesday Went through Petrified Forest too!! .Drove great No issues besides minor known issues .No windshield wiper, No speedometer Rained like hell .Thank god for RAINX .Saved the day .Overall this scout is a great candidate to build for a Barrett/Jackson or a personal use .I've bought and sold these for 40 years and I can count on one possibly two hands the number of rust or minimal rust scout travelers, travelalls and trucks that I've owed over the year, and how I've kicked myself for ever selling them .Honest to god truth.So snatch this one up .I have no choice once again .I have to sell it!! .To fund a different project .I can send pictures via text msg only,possibly gmail too no guarantee !!Scout needs electrical and interior work .No door panels no carpe, Wrong front seats no console .Had a tire rac, not there anymore .Front winch is not there .Upgraded suspension .Really loose steering on this one .Benchworks can fix it. or yourself .via them .Ask ?s ask for pics I have some parts available being a collector/buyer of IH's So ask!! Scout will be shown locally through various outlets .This has ever potential of being that 35 to 40 thousand dollar collector scout that are just starting to come up for sale at auction.Don't miss out on that potential .Paint is Original and good could be waxed blue corral or Meguires and would shine again .Was told its a one owner family scout from Colorado .So search for it back a year and a half .When it was sold on Bring a trailer .To a guy in Albuquerque.Good luck BIDDING And thanks for your interest!! Haven't tried to find out though yet. It has a locking differential thoug, So things might be changed inside axles as in upgrades too Shocks are grea, rides a little stiff on dirt roads,Freeway excellent except steering being loose .But I'll post a pic of the stickers on the glove compartment lid .No line-setting ticket either[faded] .It is LABELEDA 78. Trans and transfer case look different to me as in upgrades but not sure . Can check that one out while its up for sale .Rear window glass is shattered,needs replaced.10/27 cleaned floors and took more pictures Also wanted to add it has a receiver hitch and plug for towing .MSG box for plugs and coil .Webber carb ne, battery new 5year 3 year free replacement !!Still checking on past owners and drive train .Scout has tilt steering I have a 79/80 scout steering wheel that I throw in with the purchase .Wheel only its black with scout badge in horn ring area Will add to text when I get updates .MW
