Description:
1960 International Harvester ¾ Ton Pickup
1960 International Harvester B120 All-Wheel 4x4 Rare factory 4x4 International 3/4 ton with PTO Winch.
I purchase the Pickup 3-4 years ago with the intent to fix up and restore for my Grandson. The previous owners claimed the truck was on a Ranch in Eastern Washington for most of its life. Note the mileage is only 22,000 though I have nothing to verify that claim. The International has been stored in my barn until recently. In the last two months the Exhaust and intake manifold were re-surfaces due to an exhaust leak, the carburetor was thoroughly cleaned, new points and a N.O.S. Distributor cap were installed. The valve train appeared to be very clean under the valve cover. It now starts, runs and drives. The PTO winch has been rebuilt, seals replaced, new cable installed.
The overall condition of the vehicle is pretty good considering its age. The panels used on these pickups are extremely heavy. The forward portion of the floor pans have a few rust holes in them. I put in a couple small patch pieces in the worst areas to stiffen up the floorboards. To stop the rust in the cab, the entire cab floor was extensively cleaned to bare metal and treated with Permatex rust converter and painted with a rust preventing primer and satin black top coat. The transmission / transfer case cover does have quite a bit of rust damage.
At some point in the trucks life, the under carriage and inner fender well were sprayed with a thick under coating that has preserved a lot of the original metal. Like most 55-year-old vehicles, this truck has some minor areas of rust, but is in overall very good condition. The original seat has been recovered. 4x4 is in working condition. The high/low lever is kind of difficult to shift. The original band type emergency brake still works.
Brand new custom built wheels with new tires!
To protect the patina, a clear coat finish has been professionally applied to the body.
