Here is a great old, hard to find pickup, just screaming to be your next project! And at NO RESERVE! It will go to the highest bidder.

This is a 1949 IHC KB2. I have had a couple of the KB series trucks, but they have been the larger KB5's. I was a little surprised when I picked this one up. It has 5 bolt wheels. Everything appears original, so I would presume that the only difference between a KB1 1/2 ton and a KB2 3/4 ton would be heavier springs, more like a heavy half? Anyway, just an interesting observation.

By the previous owners estimation, it had been approximately 30 years since this truck last ran. I would say that is about right, just looking at the battery that's in it. I have not attempted to get the truck running as I've been a little short on time, but the engine is free and will turn by hand, and the engine appears to be 100% in tact (with the exception of a couple of plug wires)

As for the body, it is a typical farm truck. It has its share of bumps and bruises, a few have been welded or strapped, but this is all good heavy American steel, so you have something to workwith. Can you imagine welding a crack on yourToyota pickup fender with a stick welder? Not gonna happen! Overall the truck is verycomplete, and even retains the factory tag on the bed that says 7 1/2 with the serial number on it, pretty cool. This old KB has very minimal rust. It does have one spot on the rib on back ofcab, and also on inside of cab where wiper motors are, from a mouse making his home there. Floors are solid, but do have some pitting. Obviously, at least as far as I'm concerned, the best part of these old KB's is the grill, and this one is all there and verynice. Not perfect, but good enough to turn some heads. I do have the seat, I just took it out to get good pictures of the floor. It will need to be reupholstered, as it is down to the springs. The transmission seems to shift in and out of all gears just fine, tires hold air and truck rolls just fine also.

As I said earlier, these trucks are getting hard to find. Even the bigger ones, let alone the pickups so look this one over well. I have 100% positive feedback and sell quite a few old trucks, so check my feedback and bid with confidence. Please ask questions you might have prior to bidding.
