1947 International Harvester KB-2 Additional Info:
REDUCED ONLY THIS WEEK FOR CHRISTMAS!
Up for sale is a 1947 International Harvester KB-2 pickup truck. If your looking for a awesome prewar styling daily driver with modern technology this truck is for you. Set yourself apart from all the Chevrolet and Ford trucks on the road today. Too many projects and I need to thin the herd. The truck sits on a 2001 Chevrolet S-10 frame and drivetrain consisting of all stock components. The Chevrolet S-10 chassis has a Vortec V6 engine, manual 5 speed transmission, power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. Mileage was 124,000 and some change so I just rounded up to 125,000. I was going to turn this into a daily driver which is why I kept the V6. The truck was originally a long bed and was shortened to a 6 ft. bed to match the donor chassis. I wanted the truck to sit lower but not have to worry about "bagging it" since it was to be a daily driver. I channeled the body about 6 inches over the frame. So now it is a lower truck with all stock suspension for a perfect ride. This can easily be raised to stock ride height by changing the body mounts. Steering was upgraded to a new GM harnessed tilt steering column with new linkage. All the original suspension, disc brakes, brake lines, rear end, gas tank, etc are all in the stock place. The whole KB-2 was taken to bare metal and then left primered. I have the original gauge cluster, window mechanisms, handles, heater box, emblems, grill pieces, etc. It was basically a complete truck when I acquired it (no bumpers). It never had seats so I got a donor seat out of an Oldsmobile narrowed it, and cut the seat "hump" out of the cab so the seat height wouldn't be so high. For a 70 year old truck it is in my opinion great condition. It does need some body work however there is nothing "hidden" by previous layers of paint or inches of bondo. The cab needs some work in the floor, and door openings. The bottoms of the fenders need some love too as over the years they had been dinged by various obstacles. I will post as many pics as ebay allows but if you need more I can take as many as you want. I have no title however the vin tag is in place. Bill of sale only. Starting this auction lower than what most non running full projects in worse condition start at.
I have described this car as accurate as possible and the best of my ability. Please do not assume anything and ask any and all questions via email, phone, or text. I prefer you see it in person if possible. 3102790465 Alfredo. I have this listed locally and may pull the auction at any time. I can help deliver (for a fee) depending on distance. I also have other projects for sale. Inquire if interested and I can get you pics and info and set up an auction for you. Check out my other auctions as I will be listing more over the next few months and as always thanks for looking..
