1953 GMC 100 Additional Info:
True titled 1953 GMC 5 window cab. Truck built up from frame. New sheet metal except cab, doors, hood. New chrome, glass, interior including gauges, converted to 12 volt, new heater and wiper motor, duel master cylinder. 216 engine, 3 speed on column. Just finished what took 3 years to complete. However, 3 years ago the engine ran fine thus was not rebuilt before truck and frame painted and assembled. Now that it is done, the truck smokes terribly and engine probably will need rebuilt. I am frustrated that I did everything else and did not take engine apart when truck was apart. Truck drives straight, tight steering, good brakes, all gauges/lights/signals work. Runs cool, has new radiator, new fuel tank, all lines. New tires. Truck not perfect but very nice. Again will need engine rebuilt most likely. Have a lot of pictures of build.
