1978 GMC Sierra 1500 Additional Info:

Up for sale is a 1978 GMC Sierra K1500. The truck has had a recent frame off paint and restoration (not to stock). This isn't a show truck but is in very nice shape.

The truck starts with no issues and it runs well, with a 90s model 350 V8 dropped in. The engine was rebuilt and has a few mild performance items installed (carb, cam, intake, etc.). It has a brand new rough country suspension and mud tires with less than 500 miles on them.

The truck is full time 4 wheel drive and is NOT going to be a good choice for a commuter vehicle. It is a loud and fun truck for a gear head that appreciates big trucks.

Pros:

-Painted inside and out recently with new fenders and floors installed.

-Has a louvered tailgate with the handle reversed to the inside, fully functional.

-New tires.

-Runs great.

-New rubber floor lining.

-New lights/light assemblies, both front and rear.

-Wheels, mirrors, front bumper, grill and inner fenders all paint matched in a gunmetal gray.

-The heater works.

-It's loud and it’s tall.

Cons:

-It's loud and it’s tall.

-There is no radio system in the truck.

-The seat looks rough. It still feels comfortable and has a seat cover over it.

-The speedometer has a new cable installed and is hooked up, but it isn't very accurate.

-As mentioned above, it isn't a show truck and the paint has a couple of runs. You do have to look pretty hard to see those.

-When the body work was done the gas door was shaved and the intent was to put a fill neck in the bed, I haven’t gotten around to that yet. So you currently have to fill the truck by reaching up in the fender well.

-The odometer isn't correct, the motor was put in around 1000 miles ago.

-There is no air conditioning, but the side louver windows work perfectly.
