1972 Ford Ranchero Additional Info:

This car runs and drives with recent new brakes/battery and has a clear title in my name and currently on a Planned Non-op.This would be an excellent father/Son project. The engine starts right up and doesn’t have any unusual noise’s like start up lower end knocking, lifter tappet noise or burning or dripping oil. The 4speed transmission and Hurst linkage shifts smoothly. Excellent Power Disc brakes.

I purchased it from a car guy in Hesperia, Ca that fancied old school customizers like George Barris, Big Daddy Ed Roth and particularly Gene Winfield that he knew personally. Mr. Winfield suggested some changes to this Ranchero that live on today, like the hidden gas tank filler in the bed, the smooth door handles (mechanical release) and smoothed over side marker lights, which had to be returned to working order to pass a California Smog, Brake & Light Inspection to process the salvage title. The Ranchero was originally ordered by a young man in Southern California that hit the right front corner and was thrown across the bench seat where his knee cracked the right corner of the dash by the glove box door (see picture w/red arrow). The damage to the front consisted of sheet metal and front bumper which was easily replaced. The dash damage can be repaired or I have another complete cherry dash AND the complete uncut wiring harness to convert the original non-rally gauge instrument cluster to the optional Sport Rally instrument Tachometer, Temp., Amp, Oil and Clock gauge cluster. Also included is an excellent matching Sport Rally gauge cluster and perfect correct bezel.

Speaking of extras, the Ranchero comes with everything needed to restore it including;

-Correct perfect black Dash Pad

-Correct OEM Bucket Seats (need reupholstered)

-Correct perfect black Center Console with Correct shift bezel and NOS rubber shifter boot.

-Correct and perfect black GT/Sport Door Panels/NOS Arm Rests & OEM speaker grilles

-Correct Brand New Door Jamb and Window/Drip Rail rubber & NewWindow Fuzzies/Scrapers

-Polished 3 piece front windshield trim mouldings.

-Polished R&L side roof drip rail mouldings

-Polished 4 piece rear window mouldings

-Polished 8 piece bed mouldings (complete set)

-R&L NOS rear Taillights (perfect, no pitting and like new chrome)

-Polished Grille Trim, like new Grille and Surround

-Headlight Bezels re-chromed to show condition

Now when I say polished, I mean that ALL the aluminum trim mentioned has been polished to a chrome like brilliance.

-Like new polished Weld Wheel Rodlite Rims w/Mr Roadster Knock-offs & New Goodyear Tires

-The front and rear bumpers will need re-chroming, pictures show missing front gravel shield but I have one that is perfect.

I feel you’ll be blown away when you see what all goes with the car, and I’m sure we’ll come across a lot more when we start unloading a Ford 3/4ton van I’ve used to store everything in.

See the accompanying video showing a 360° view and how easy it starts up.

$10,000 with everything mentioned

OR

$7,500 as-is (no bucket seats), & I’ll include installing a non-tach dash instrument cluster & bezel and a partial bed moulding set. I’ll also include R&L ‘72 Ranchero doors free.
